Just to clarify (so I'm not TOTALLY missing something), the instructions in the contest specify that you can email your pdf or jpg entry in OOOOOOOOR post it on the hypercomic site.

Correct?

If so, just wanted to point this out since some people seem to be having trouble with this.

This one goes out to Lighthouse.

Since this contest is based off of screenshots. And since both the character copy tool (to test server) and the entire demorecord system seem to be non-operational at the moment I don't guess we could get an extension on the timeline of this contest.

My comic (now already written before I realized the problems), is relying heavily on the demo record feature working.

I know you guys weren't planning on these issues popping up, but it seems like a terrible time for them to hit...considering the contest rules.

Correct me if I'm wrong (and now would be better than later , but I don't think using Photoshop like that would disqualify you in any way. I thought the rules simply stated that you could run filters and effects from other programs as long as "it was clear the images originated from screenshots".

Or something like that.

Is that still the general rule?

Anyone else having 'strange' timing issues regarding movement and animations when playing back demos these days?

When I'm supposed to move...my character goes through all the scripted animations....runs, jumps, etc...while standing in place. Then after the animations are done...he slides down the path he should have been running on.

Is this just me or have they totally just forgotten the demo feature?

Hey, I'm not trying to use this time to take a stab at Lighthouse. On the contrary, I'm trying to be open here. I've been in Lighthouse's shoes on more than one occasion.

Did I mention I tried to register twice and got the wonderful message spino got (an error).

And when I say NCsoft should have a fan art section on their site that sure the heck isn't a stab at lighthouse. That's somebody elses call. Mostly likely some group of extremely overpaid guys in overpriced suits.

Fact is, Curse-gamings site is busted.

I'll give it a shot (not as a replacement for DA, cause yes, the community...organization...and everything else rocks there), but because I don't mind posting a few pieces elsewhere. Most likely not everything will be duped there, but a few couldn't hurt.

And to the CG guys, thanks for removing the stick figures.

Their registration is broken (errored out). So you can't post anyhow.

And they REALLY should have thought a little more about posting thier test image. Touchy art people types might take a little offense to their "fan art" example.
