You're welcome, looking forward to it myself. I don't know how confident they are of reaching this target though but one never knows.

CoS closed beta just announced ..

22'ish days as from this post.
  3. What a shame you never got to deal with GM_pulpyorange then. Lloyd helped me on many occasions too.
  4. Without question, entering Atlas Park for the first time. Closely followed by attaining and using the 'Fly' pool power.

One final twist of the knife. What would it hurt applying a code now?

I have just watched this video of the game. It's much better than the TB review. The video is recorded in a higher definition. The interviewer is focused and coherent. A great review which shows much more than the other reviews I've seen. Enjoy.

Ah - the only black Friday I know of is a stock market crash. Yeah Brass Friday sounds more appropriate from a lore perspective.

I hadn't seen that Total Biscuit vid until today. It would have sold me on CoS just as much as the mmohuts.com shorter coverage of the game. Anyway, thanks for the great welcomes by the crew and cast over on CoS.

    P.S. By "thank", I mean "****".

Erm - YES - Categorically not a fan of NCSoft.
  13. " we want to personally share with you NCsoft’s sincere thanks to all of our fans"

    from the thread http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=297471

Categorically not a fan of NCSoft Zwill. Certainly a fan of City of Heroes, the Devs and the Community team because of who you all are and what you have done for us and the game.

Understood Father Xmas. The OP is not, in your opinion, completely to blame. Though the fallout was intense at the time as I remember it.

Truth. I know the game started depopulating from about a week after the release of MA. Players were saying that they would not renew their sub in the chat channels. MA took players away from the content and depopulated the game as a whole. AE was now de rigueur and reaching lvl 50 in a matter of hours was a sham. Within a week of MA level 50 players were surfacing in the chat channels asking "Where is the Hollows?"

On top of that - a few weeks later there was an announcement that a raft of badges were to be removed. That is the one that got me; I could handle PLers because their path would never cross mine but, when they decided to take away the badges I had earned I then decided enough was enough so I unsubbed for a few months.

I have been lampooned for my opinion in game channels, this is only my opinion and experience. No need to troll it, just read it, your experience WILL be different.

Not too sure about that but the devs are building a rocket pack but that is not a priority ATM.

Yep - but impressive performance for browser based. The only concern I have is that it uses the unity engine - FGO uses it too and the response is dreadful on that. Hopefully the CoS devs can make the thing work like a proper game ;p

From what I have seen on the circulating vids the gameplay looks good enough so far - lets see how it does when live with a large population.

Admittedly there is some fantasy element there but it is predominantly steampunk.

I will certainly be adding it to my long list of games.
I'm gutted that I just missed the alpha testing. The vid I saw of it on mmohuts.com convinced me, it looks just a great game so I bought some pre-beta stuffs. There are about half a dozen vids of it out there. See you in closed beta.
