"Somebody say Weed-Whacker?"

From far above, what looked like a girl, maybe in her older teens or her early twenties, sat carelessly on a ledge above the road, staring down at the group below.

Her hair was short and fluffy, flipping out on the sides a little, and two decidedly canine ears stood at attention on top of her head, though at the moment they were tipped back with a hint of aggression.

A jagged, predatory grin spread across her face, and her orange eyes practically glinted at the Circle mystics below (presuming that's what they are. XD) as she leapt down, pinning them between her and the reptilian figure.

"Now what did I tell you jack*sses about pulling stuff like this, eh?" she mock scolded, stretching her arms and cracking her knuckles.

Virtue is indeed the unofficial RPing server, but there are people here and there on most servers. I know there's a big RP community on Protector, for one; and I don't doubt there are some on most other servers.

The best advice I can give you is to read bios. Some people put "((RP'er))" in their biography.

If you're desperate, hang out in Pocket D on Virtue for a while.

Rosie paused, as she bonked her nose into a wall. She'd walked her way into some computer thingie without noticing.

Stranger things had happened, and now to her delight she was surrounded in buttons.

"What's this do? What's that do?"

The were-human's tail wagged gleefully as she paid no heed to the voice, but instead mashed her hands on whatever controls she could reach.

Okay, everyone, here's another idea. I'll put forth a scenario, and you list off your characters' reactions, okay? This'll help me to get to know your characters and still not wait until ...next march...teehee...to finish this.

FIRST SCENARIO

Your character has a friend who does this one action that annoys them. Constantly. You've asked this friend to stop multiple times.

Finally, it happens -- the friend does it again. It's all you can take.

WHAT DO YOU DO? :3

Rosie: "****, as long as you've got your licenses all in order you can go around screaming about sucking the blood of virgins for all we care."

Phe: *lounges in the office reading yaoi*

Emry: *does paperwork* <_<

Really, I'm trying to cast a parody, so I'm trying to get a good pool to choose from. :P I've already got a few of the main characters chosen.

I don't really want anyone (who hasn't already heard due to my own blabbermouthing ways) to know what exactly I'm parodying until I get it started, but it should be fairly easily identifiable once I get started proper. :3

I've gotten some inspiration, thanks to Khell, and the time's come again for me to think about writing another parody/story.

And a couple others that aren't finished they weren't anyone else's characters anyway shut up.

I like to feature people in my stories. But I won't do so without their permission. If I have your permission to use your character in my story, would you please post it here? I'm not publishing this anywhere but on this board for our amusement, and it's more "If you want to see your character in my story let me know." :3

Um, well, I'm thirteen hours ahead of Eastern time, which is GMT + 9 hours. XD; I usually log onto the computer after work at about 7 PM my time, though I try to go to bed by 11. I'm going to try to pace my gaming and not overdo it, because I have a lot of school activities and Eikaiwa classes...

I'm actually working with the JET program now. I teach at a junior high school and two elementary schools in Yosano-cho (specifically the Iwataki area of it - Yosano is three towns merged into one) as well as running some English conversation groups. It's good money, good fun, and a good opportunity to improve my Japanese.

Also, I had to eat a bee. ;_;

Anyway, I'm in Japan now. Woowoo! I don't know how much I'll RP on the boards, but I'll definitely be in game on and off during the week.

It's nice to be back. I'm scared of all the things that are going to be different though...!

"Don't worry, sir." Essex said quietly, resting a hand on Acid's arm and catching his eye with a soft smile. The next moment the smile was gone, and a light of determination had entered her eyes.

"This is what I do."

Essex's other hand rested on the wound, and she narrowed her eyes at the gunk. She charged the nanites into something of a firing line, moving frightfully quickly to get between the gunk and Acid's skin. Since the nanites worked on a nanometer scale, she strained to produce as many as possible until his arm wound glowed a bright green.

"You've protected me countless times."

The nanites built up the flesh frightfully quickly, while aiding the Khelari's natural defenses. However, they were serving a dual purpose -- additionally attempting to break down the gunk assaulting Acid. Essex didn't care if it obliterated the gunk. She was trying to change its chemical composition into something that Acid's natural biology could safely handle and reject...something that didn't have quite the hold it did on his particular composition.

"And I've been waiting for the opportunity to repay you, even a little."

The android bit her lip, suddenly releasing a nanite flood to try to overwhelm the microbial attacker all at once...

"Ace!" Essex cried from where she had been hiding. Hurriedly getting out and skimming to where her pseudoreptilian friend was being carried by Toy, she began to hover, fretting visibly.

"...These green shards must have some special qualities. I've never heard of anything hurting sir Acid this way." she said with a frown.

"Hold him steady, sir." she said to Toy directly as she analyzed the area around the shards. She wasn't incredibly adept at the Khelari's biochemistry, but...

"...I just need to know that, if I pull them out, will it make things worse or not. I know usually he would be able to regenerate himself rather quickly, but if these stones have some sort of enzyme to prevent that, I'd rather not unplug a large gaping wound..."

She silently prayed for Curtis' safety as she worked..

Rosie shoved her hands on her hips as she waited for Archlich to finish up in the temple.

"So if you don't need us, can we go to where all the interesting crap is?" she complained.

I'm a casual Bwerpist. D: I only go to amusement parks on April Fool's Day and Leap Day.

*scratches her head, blushing* I read through it again yesterday, and really...it does require a lot of context, as a lot of the characters aren't sufficiently fleshed out for anyone who doesn't know them. If it's still all right, then by all means go ahead, but if more exposition on the characters is needed feel free to let me know, and I'll do my best to modify it accordingly.

Rosie nodded, turning serious.

"Listen, Archie." she said, "I better come check this out with you. You're a braniac, sure, but ...well, like humans, spirit creatures tend to lash out when cornered. If there are any remnants of these Gods left, they might have been driven mad with starvation and isolation. I'll be your bodyguard."

The were-human pondered. "Hrm. Rather, your bonyguard. Heheh."

Turning back to Thermoplast and Balsk, she looked serious. "You guys can come along with me if you like, but this is spirit stuff waaaaay over the heads of a layman. O'course, you guys aren't exactly laymen, but...It'd be a good experience, but I don't want you ending up dead."

...A coy grin spread across one side of her face.

"...Not much of what I say is gonna make you not curious, huh?" she said cheerily, folding her hands behind her back while her tail wagged.

Vanessa barked a hearty laugh.

"I dinna think ye need t'worry about 'ow big me lab is. It may suit yer needs."

To her robots, she barked, "Now mush, lads!"

With that, the 'bots seemed to groan as one.

"I hate this." Rotor complained.

"So not cool..." Axel muttered, getting into position.

The robots began to change. Parts and pieces folding in and out and interlocking, heads folding back, power armor becoming power shielding on a much larger vehicle.

"And I'll form -- the head!" Spindle chirped, leaping on top and reforming into the steering and navigations console.

Before them stood a rather large, fully-functional hoversled.

"And dinna worry about the station lads." Nessie said, waving a hand dismissively. "They've seen it all b'fore, aye."

West looked marginally impressed as he stepped aboard the hoversled...

Essex, however, goggled. "That was really cool...!" she said in astonishment, clinging to Felix and skipping aboard.

"Oooooooh, you got yelled at." Rosie teased Balsk, as she followed Archlich around, arms folded behind her head.

"Listen, Archie, maybe I can give you a hand. Come on, I am a Soul Cop. I can at least amplify your power or something. And who knows how we got here? Maybe I took a wrong portal turn at Albaquerque(sp) or something."
