Hah.. No. Not really no. Alternate realities aside, Statesman is Marcus Cole and Marcus Cole is their bitter enemy. And Desdemona didn't inherit Vanessa's mask. She looted it from her barely cool corpse.
Sorry, seeing the "sidekick" of an alternate, supposedly good version of my hated enemy wearing the belongings of my recently departed and likely beloved leader doesn't instill truth in me. It would instill rage. Speaking as a Carnie o' Light, of course. I personally just wish Desdemona would find clothes that actually fit -
What's worse is that in a few issues, she's totally going to be an authority figure.
Would love to see THAT interview.
Positron: So, Ms. Yin. uh.. as I was telling my forced romance...er, love of my life... Numina. Now that Shalice has passed the Phalanax is now without eyes to the psychic realm.
Penny: Oh, gosh.. That like totally sucks.
Positron. I know. Tammy is so upset. She told me to look her up on the Paragon wiki.. whatever that means, and then tossed my pillows and blankets on the Phalanx sofa! Seriously. I'm know she misses Shalice, but we NEED a mind controller or some sort of psychic *ahem* so, anyway... Why do you think you're qualified to join the Phalanx, Penny?
Penny: Uh.. well... I totally helped out some heroes back when Overbrook was being rebuilt.
Posi: Really?
Penny: Well, uh... I, me and my dad that is, were kidnapped by some lost. The Clockwork King rescued me and left Daddy to burn.. so I had to hired some friend of Jimmy's and SHE rescued dad.. But I helped!
Posi: You did? Of course you did. You're the bestest most awesome psychic ever!
Penny: Yup! I asked CK to give the hero I hired some clockwork gears that...uh.. she didn't remember to use. But that's not important.. I like totally had someone rescue Daddy. Kinda like my own TF *sparkles* There was EVEN a badge!
Posi: *impressed* I see.
Penny: uh... and then, I got kidnapped by some Rikti..*quickly* It was okay, tho. I totally called CK to rescue me who then tried to kill some other people trying to rescue me. Uh...
Posi: Wait... so, you're saying you're entire hero career consists of being kidnapped, and then rescued by folks that are weaker and/or less awesome than you?
Penny: Totally!
Posi: .....*tear* You're like a pantless (or implied pantless or would've been pantless prior to the whole gunslinger fiasco) Marcus that's a girl and higher res that everyone! You can totally join us!
Penny: Really! *sparkles*
Posi: Totally. Well, in truth, your psychic pet already applied..and was accepted.
Penny: ....
Posi: Hey! Don't give me that look! We're scraping the barrel here! And, yeah, you're really high res. -
Quote:My wild theory is that Praetorian Penny is Primal Penny's mentor.. OR even wilder theory given one of Praetorian Vanessa's more annoying powers. That Primal Penny is nothing more than a mirror or fragment of Praetorian Penny that traveled to Primal Earth via the Psychic plane.I have to admit I wondered if it was Vanessa or the Clockwork King that Penny has received her training from.
That would explain why many of Primal Penny's powers look like they just stepped out of the MoM trial. -
(I'm a terrible person)
My dearest Tammy,
Roses are Red.
Radiation is Green.
You've always been there for Me.
Except that time I got Dead.
Worry not, my dearest love.
The Dark Watcher was there
As if sent from above.
I remember the day, not so long ago,
That you dazzled and confused, beat our leader blue.
When the dominator, wicked and vile...
Forced your attentions to me.
I could not help but smile.
For much like our love, I knew the bruises you would inflict would linger for a while.
Alas I know what is true.
I can think of no one I'd rather have at my side but You.
Besides, Ms. Liberty is a cranky shrew. -
The two you mentioned, especially the IDF one, are most likely rogue to hero missions rather than actual hero missions. At the very least I remember my rogue earning hero credit for rescuing General Aarons.
-
As nifty as Penny looks, I have to wonder how exactly she is, in any way, qualified to be a member of Paragon City's premier super group. I suppose the Phalanx is in such dire straights that they're forced to recruit what by all accounts should be a rookie hero.

Mu wrappings are perfect for those cold, rainy Rogue Island nights! Also, its the wrappings save space in already cramped bases. Instead of needing a bunk, a Mu Adept might simply be hung from the rafters by his straps.
My memory is a bit rusty, but I seem to recall that the Mu bindings are to deny the self. Or the physical self which in Mu teachings is inferior or unclean. -
ME!
I was actually wishing I could roll a Mu while playing tonight.
