Eidolon collapsed as the drain of maintaining the massive force bubble over whelmed him. All around them any clock that was not being immediately attended to was recuperating and helping to restore others.

Eidolon looked at the team around him .... took in the shape of their thoughts than began to weave them together. This unit lacked cohesion and he could help with that at least ...

Can you all hear me? I am connecting our minds... we will be aware of each others actions and designs and hopefully we can use this to coordinate our assault, strike true and deeply.

As Rough Justice took Erics hand he was filled with the momentary overwhelming intimacy. Did these people have no idea how to treat a telepath.

...leave a lasting impression, he wants to establish a pecking order already geez I've fallen in with the testosterone set...

"Nice to meet you Rough Trade..." he said to RJ's back as he suddenly chased away after some odd noise. Then sounds of battle.

Eric pushed a field of force around himself and the others. Larger is weaker but he'd never trained to protect others ... his assignments were almost always one-man ops.

Tracing RJ's path lead him to a fight scene. The clocks he recognized. Even as RJ destroyed one group the last began reassembling themselves. The focal point of all this commotion was one of the most advanced and intimidating clock Eidolon had ever seen.

"Why'd it have to be robots!" With a thought Eidolon increased the size of his protective shield giving it more solidity and sent the clocks and clock parts slamming against the various walls of the room and pinning them there.

The smaller clocks blasts that struck him ruined his suit but more than hurting they taxed his concentration... distracted him.
"Someone help I can't do this for long and when I let go theyre just going to start rebuilding themselvessss againnnnnn nnnnn owww."
I hatezzz robotzzz" Eidolon said through clenched teeth.

I can accept you in unofficially. Could I see your ID. I need to run it through the computer system.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Ok this guy was either nuts or had no idea the kind of hell that was following him... Still they seemed nice enough and if they let him stay he might get a a few nights of sleep before they kicked him out...

Eric handed over the ID card that marked him as a mutant Telepath/Telekinetic.

    [ QUOTE ]
He glanced at Sting. "Any leads on finding Mystic. And what did you do with clockwork parts? I wanted to take a look at them."

    [/ QUOTE ]
If I'd been here sooner I might have an idea of the feel of your Division Head. Although wide ranging scans are difficult I could at least telll you if he was still in Kings Row. Turning to Sting as he pulled black gloves over his hands he smiled and said ... " I'm a telepath..."

As he stepped into the lobby, his phone rang as he saw a man outside looking in ... and headed to the side area to talk.

    [/ QUOTE ]
As he cleared his throat tried to get Newtons attention another man walked in.

Sean, his name is Sean. Criminal trying to make good, he's angry... Rough Justice
Eric again made the effort to wall away his mind. These people were bleeding thoughts everywhere. A properly trained assassin could sneak up on him right now and he wouldn't be aware of it because he had to block these people out...

    [ QUOTE ]
“You wanna die? Jeez man, there are a lot better place to do that than this dump.”

    [/ QUOTE ]
"Holy Hell !!!" Eidolon jumped at the actualization of his thoughts. Except this was no assassin. Delphi would never employ someone so obvious. The assassin would be as invisible to the bystanders as he was to Eric's own telepathic abilities.

    [ QUOTE ]
Sting saw the hero ID. “Ah, you came to join us not kill us? How nice. Here I think if you are in contact with me then you can pass through the force field.”

    [/ QUOTE ]
Eric's touch was obviously hesitant. With contact there came unwanted intimacy.

Instinct... so much so that I didn't notice him, how does he think past it? No name.... no he has a name but identifies with Poison Sting more... he's not that person anymore, would like to be but can't be. He's just Sting now... South America? He thinks I hesistated in touching him because of his appearance...
As they crossed the barrier Eric quickly removed his hand, reached for one of his ever present handkerchiefs and wiped vigorously. The lose of connection let him try to pay more attention to the vocal world. Something about Newton and his suit? Bada$$ ?

    [ QUOTE ]
“So who sent you and why are in such a hurry to die?” Sting asked in a nonchalant manner.

    [/ QUOTE ]
"I don't want to die. I was sent here to die. I'm just hoping you all don't get caught in the wet-action. Though you look like yolu could hold your own. I was assigned by Vassily Chenekov he's head of a Black Ops Grey Works project. I really need to talk to someone in charge so that I can become someone elses problem... Although I can't reject the assignment the head of your project has the right to veto my presence. I've been to see 4 other division heads this week. No one wants my mess, I come with blood. Oh and nice to meet you call me Eric or Eidolon" Eric smiled congenialy.

(( OOC: For any toons with military or gov. backgrounds greyworks involve the use of mental faculties in espionage. Telepathy, precognition, clairvoyance, etc.))

    [Newton] [ QUOTE ]
He clicked his radio. “Anyone in the Two-Six? Coolant? Brian? Sting? RJ? Elisa?” Newton frowned. Once again, the front door had been un-attended; then again, it was to have been Abrahm’s job to watch that, and he had disappeared. Along with the boss. With a certain amount of irritation, he sat behind the sergeant’s desk again, and wondered what he should try next.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Eric stood outside the Force Field looking through. Inside he could see an overweight man in the midst of consuming a hoho. Remaining quiet he watched the oblivious man for a moment.

Insecure about his strengths, an arm-chair psychologist who covers up his insecurities with humor. How can someone be so insecure about his ability to hold his own when he can bend gravity and space to his will? A bit of a voyeur.... wait this man wasn't unaware of his presence. He was watching him through some sort of spatial pin-hole... assessing him as he himself did the same... crafty fellow... That spying ability must not be in his official jacket or the Delphi project would have snagged him too. Anticipation, edginess, he thinks I might be here for something nefarious, he's not sure where his team mates are...

Do I look that threatening? Eric wondered.

Clearing his throat so that both could pretend to not have been spying on the other and go through the act of first becoming aware of one another. He took a moment to make sure that ... Isaac (names are always at the forefront of peoples minds and are easist to grab) was simply jittery because he was alone and because of the long pause at the door... he knew how most people would see him. He was dressed in a Designer Canali suit, his short stark white hair had been styled just this morning and goatee trimmed. He like to think he looked younger than his 34 years. His sunglasses were on so his eyes were hidden. He should look every inch the professional.

This man however fought crime for a living and his perceptions might be different. Since he might be working with these people he made every effort to keep the man's thoughts out of his head. What he knew already was probably too much.

Eric smiled through the Force Field.
"You must be Newton's Apple. I've read about you and your groups efforts here in the Row." Pulling out his Paragon Supers registration ID he held it up so that the man could see it. My name is Eric Massey or Eidolon, whichever's easier. I was hoping I could talk to someone in charge. I think I've been sent here to die so I'd like to get it out of the way as soon as possible.

  7. [ QUOTE ]
The Kheldian role is that they can do a little of everything - and, on a full team, have a combination of defense and ranged offense that's second to none.

    [/ QUOTE ]

This was fine in theory but in reality what most of us are finding is that we don't shine in teams. Our damage even in 8 man teams with 4 damage boosters is still sub par. Since were trying to slot our shields to exceed our resist negative or our damage to make up for our "less than defender damage" .... we don't become par (if that) in either till we're in our late 30 s and begin having access to trio s of slots.

As to the versatility and power of the AT that should come out through the link what we instead see is persons who spend all their time in nova or dwarf form and slip into human only to use the clicks that enhance the forms. Are the forms the versatility you wanted us to have? Or was it our access to heals and status effects shields and damage? If we slot one form the other suffers if we focus on a non human form it has to be well slotted because they only have a finite set of powers (so they have to be good).

My Peacebringer is playable and interesting but I have gimped him because I dont slot my forms. I want access to the interesting thigs like heals and disorients... This makes me versatile but weak. Even in teams I dont measure up. In a respec tf recently I watched defenders and controllers contributing more than I do and more effectively. Before ppl say I am a poor player I'm not. I've clocked thousands of hours at this game. I have experience with every AT. I have two accounts and huge friends lists. People like having me on their teams because I do my job well.

You made our primary a blast set but gave us less damage than two AT s that have damage sets as their secondaries. Blasters survive by taking it out before it can take them out... we can't match that and it becomes especially obvious in the higher lvls when after 4 or 5 shots Im still surrounded by Crey minions and they have overcome the minor status protection offered by our controller... and ... well now my shields are down and +30% damage from all attks... Yes I employ tactics and yes i usually survive but this AT feels as slow as my first controller (Mind ... no pets 50 now ) and has to rely on teams as much.

Statesman, I know that recently alot of us have given up trying to explain what we see wrong with this AT. I was one of the masses who tried posting when it was on test. I was one of the ppl who wrote in support of the other masses when it got to live. Lately the masses have grown quiet. My friends are deleting their Khelds in frustration and what seems to be left are the voices of the few that equate this level of challenge with fun (good for them). Staesman look around there are plenty of ppl who are saying they are having good experiences with their khelds but ask how many of them feel second to none in a group. I've read of many ppl who feel they contribute well to groups but I cant recall anyone expressing a second to none feeling (admittedly I havent read every post on khelds and Im sure there will be a flood of ppl slamming me and saying they outshine everyone else on their team with their khelds this is all IMO and IMExperience).

I have 4 blasters in this game. All of them survive better than my kheldians even when grouped, when they do die they pay off the debt faster. My Kin/Psi Offender survives better and does more damage. My Dark/Dark defender does more damage and helps the team survivability more. My tanker does more damage and rarely dies. My controllers ( I have 5 ranging from 50th to 22nd) add more to team survivability. My Peacebringer has never felt second to none in any combination.

Finally, I played before there were respec tf s. And I have a perception of them being reserve items that you pull out when you messed up a build or when a power gets altered (like hasten, tk and AM were way back when). What you have created is an AT that relies on them. Straight slotted Nova till 26 ish. Respec Nova/Human or Dwarf/Human to tastes. And in your 30s its human all the way. Drop the forms (at least for PB s ) get Light Form and rock and roll. I havent seen a build that reliant on planned respec since SR. You don't follow that build you're hobbling your toon. Is that how you wanted it to work. Us having to rely on respecs because our original slotting starts failing as we lvl? It's verstility yes but is it what you were aiming for?
