we've never used IoPs purely cos we dont have a clue how to get them
as valens said we were undefeated against a lot of people from the french server so i believe we wud defo give them a good fight

Check the US boards, its one of the new fotms and everyone is starting theirs after seeing the effectiveness of a few people, I have one myself
Also its worth noting that some psi attacks bypass defence as are untyped (which is certainly a little unfair on SRs as its specifically says your defences work v psi, but hey, who beleives the power desciptions these days)

Nope but the players behind them do, and rad is always good and untyped (not classed as melee, aoe or ranged) and unresisted damage seems like a good idea to me .
And no offence but the US pvpers dick all over the EU lot, they take hardcore to another level and what becomes good over here was being played 6 months ago there. If they say its good I beleive them. Of course you could always get US codes and show your mettle over there, with what you consider to be strong builds, as opposed to being just about the only pvp sg with active players on union

unfortunately i cant afford to get my characters pl'd for me and dont have the time anymore to lvl characters, yea we are one of the few pvp sg's and we've always managed to dick over ur attempts to beat us so wud be funny to see what the all powerful americans do to u, but wait we use imaginary iops to beat u, no other way we cud beat ur bought hami-o'd up toons is there? -

Not really, AM helps end recovery and a good rad/psi can 3 shot most.

the trouble with psi is it has no aim and i dont see how a psi cud hit thru rad enough with just tactics to cause any serious amount of dmg -

Retribution brings you The WalnuT!
The WalnuT will be a league/tournament carried out in one evening. Each team will consist of 3 Players.
Each team will have 3 different ATs no 2 the same and must have 2 squishies and 1 non squishy.
Thats any 2 of the following (only 1 of each AT allowed):
Blasters
Defenders
Controllers
Corrupters
Dominators
Masterminds
And 1 of either:
Tank
Scrapper
Stalker
Brute
The Event will be open to every server and will be held on the Test Server and fights will be at level 50
To minimise the luck part of a knockout tournament i aim to have a few mini leagues with winners going through to knockout rounds (like a mini champions league). How this will be achieved will depend on number of teams entering so I will post more details as soon as I have an idea of teams entering.
The Fights in the league section will be in a 5 Man Domination match, who ever kills the fastest and most wins.
The semis and final will be 10man domination matches.
Hopefully the whole night will consist of a maximum of 7rounds (same as squished).
The WalnuT will be held on test server @7pm on Sunday 15th October

No. Any PvP fight should use inspirations. They balance it out. What's a blaster supposed to do against a controller otherwise?

And then the troller pops around 10 Robusts, a medium break free, 10 reds and 10 yellows with a purple in there for good measure.
We have a Uber troller tank running Unstoppable, completely mez resistant and hitting the damage/accuracy cap.
Ofcourse your right, inspirations balance everything out, how silly i was for trying to be the voice of reason.
You can't buy inspirations in two of the 4 pvp zones for a reason.

if ur actually in a fight with them and can manipulate the mob in ur favour then sure, i think ppl have a problem with someone they cant see and arent fighting tp'in them in2 a mob -
well we're trying to make 2 teams but its impossible as ppl dont wanna sign up to let the team down if they find out the fights will be on a day or time that they are unavailable, cud put down 2 teams, but the thread asks for exact team names

On a forum where there is an active thread calling for more PvP'ers, you do wonder why people bother when those who say "Yeah, great. Let's do it" then either don't sign up or sign up and don't actually turn up on the night.
Given that the Union sign up thread has had 100 views already, surely there should be more than one team signed up by now?

ignore my build then but fiery embrace is still very useful in pve -
a fire tank without fiery embrace is a huge waste especially with energy secondary, here is my PvP build which won the recent FFA, have pvp'd a lot for him so i think its pretty much perfect for PvP:

The Key is to create a Mini League. Some thing that can be fought over a week or so and then after that takes off build into a bigger and longer league its just keeping poeples attention which seems to prove the greatest problem.

indeed, as jose Mourinho said it takes skill to win a league but u need luck to win a tournament (or something along those lines ), not taking anything away from winners or any players, they were all gr8 just a league gives a much better picture imo
i will be putting together a video of various fights but if any1 wants an unedited fight let me no, i only have:
aow first match, retribtution first match, retribution second match, all 3 round robins, the final and another match i think, cant remember which it was till i get home, will post exact matches i have tonight, edited highlights video shud b done by wednesday evening -
was indeed an awesome event, nice work ks, wud b better as a league to avoid the luck aspect of a knockout tournament altho i doubt u cud keep every1 interested for long enough to do a league, bring on the next tourny
