well...Ice is really fun and a good set but force field is lacklustre to say the least and in need of a good buff.

You won't be dealing much damage and I would consider another secondary unless you're gonna team all the way to 50 and liking being some of a buffbot.

Has to be said though that the singletarget shields and to a lesser extent Dispersion Bubble are awesome and can make a team more or less steamroll anything. If this is for you go for it

I would personally rather go for either rad or storm as a secondary...but hey...up to you

For PvP you'll be in high demand for baseraids but not much else than that I'm afraid.

Stealth as a power is bugged also iirc. A controller with tactics could see my teammate with hide/stealth/io. Lets take out the IO. Hide/stealth.

You'll get just short of 50% res just from the shield alone (not sure if this is a bug or wai but defender and controller shields both give 50%) so you won't need tough. Od course it's a nice extra boost but you won't ever need it. If you do decide to take Tough you'll miss out on powers far more of use to you.

If you can spare the slots always try to slot Hurdle. Slotted Combat Jumping and Hurdle is a thing of beauty.

Defiant used to have a slightly higher playerpopulation that Union....this has slowly shifted the other way and Union now roughly have 50-75% more players online at peaktimes.

Union villains now has the same playerpopulation as Defiant heroes.

It's sad really but that's the reality of things.

Can't really say why this has happened but I suspect it's mainly because the old wellknown "communityleaders" quit the game a while back and Union still has theirs active ingame.

Defiant certainly isn't dead and there's a lot of good friendly players around..but sadly not as easy to find them these days.

Defiant is and will always be my homeserver (even though my villains are on Union due to charslot space)

It does take and need accuracies. It works the exact same way as fulcrum shift (autohit on your target, need tohitcheck on others so if you only want to duel you can skip the accuracy)

Thing is...I can see where SingStar is coming from. Having different powersets in the team would of course make it a more rounded and efficient team but that's not really the point here.

Main problem with various powersets teams is you could be lacking when the /emp or the /ff or whatever wouldnt be able to be there for a playsession or two.

Having a full ?/? team or a mixed team are both great but you really shouldnt discourage SingStar for making this attempt.
