A lot of the time when I asked editors and writers at the San Diego con about getting into the writing side of things they have absolutely no consistant answers. Some guys write detailed novellas including all the camera angles and page layouts, while others are quite vague and leave almost everything but the dialog and general actions to the artists.
Myself, I equate writing a comic to writing a movie script. I describe every character once, the settings once, and then go for angles, panel size or orientation, and action. Important details that cannot be skipped, that kind of thing.
Everyone does it different.
Just never, EVER ask how to become an EDITOR of comics. That... will get you nowhere. *sigh*. -
I've never met a genuinely depressed emo kid, really. Genuinely depressed kids rarely make that big of a deal of themselves, because that's a *problem* for them, usually.
I just hope that too many Emo kids don't grow up to be babybats and then Goths, because the world can only stand so many 30 year olds carrying black lunchboxes to work.

Excellent work so far, Aero, I love the details you're adding with the backgrounds! (Speedy's is great, I love that lady waving at him ! )
I can't wait to see what you'll do with the colors. And yeah, craptastic days have a way of sending karma points your way. -
Wooo, Mortuartis is really well done. I like that tribal/primative look.

Hey now, some of us grrls will tempt you into bananahammocks for only one really good reason: Aero is there. And we like that kinda thing.

If there's a comic, game or video game store (or heck, an "arcade"... anyone have those any more?) ask if you can put up an ad for like, art or book meetings. Try and find a tabletop group. Get to a library or something, if there's a lack of good bookstores or something in your area and post a notice for light social activities, book discussion groups and such.
If there's a place which has stuff that you like to buy at it, very likely there are *others* who like that stuff too. That's one big way to get into a group with similar interests. I dont know if you have a church group or whatever (I don't care for religion myself, but you never know) that'd be a different angle.
College campuses, coffee houses and internet cafe's are all nice places to find people who will be a bit better than a bar-crawling crowd.
Myself, I have a tabletop group which I've horribly neglected for a year. I keep trying to get back into it but actually I *don't* like social contact all that much. I like working my shell station job 3 days a week and that's about as much talking to real people as I can stomach. But sometimes it's nice to get out there and see a movie with a rowdy bunch of friends, or go out for coffee and stay up late gaming. -
No, eventually the emos will *grow up* and develop proper musical tastes.
Myself, I've been seriously depressed for several years, made worse and more stressful by the fact that I have to live with and take care of my 79 year old bat-nuts crazy mother. :/
I wish my grass was emo. Then it would cut itself.
I used to be a cutter too, because I, like I suspect 9 out of 10 other cutters were, was *bored out of my mind*. Not abused, not abandoned, not particularly priveledged either, just bored.
Now I have some 47 hours worth of tattooing on me. Go figure.
I've just come off my meds in the last month, and for a while there I was ... really, really really bad. Like, crying for 4 hours straight for no reason whatsoever bad. I'm a lot better at this point, and I'm going to start *gasp* exersizing at the gym soon and that should also help.
Depression isn't something to make light of.
Emo, however, *is*. Emo is like, "trendy depressive behavior". -

Myself I'm not bothering to watch it. From what everyone has even said: it IS sensationalizing something. I wonder when it'll be shown and where, because depending on its eventual locale and time, you could really do damage *in already weak markets* to the video game industry in general. People work that way - they fear instead of finding out the truth. And they believe whatever they're told: if they're told, "hey watch this it's got great information about why GTA is ruining our kids" that is how they'll view it. If they're told, "hey watch this idiot dig a hole for himself logically and not present good arguments for his side of the debate" that's how you'll see it.
It is odd that GTA and COH would ever be placed in even remotely the same category of games, if that's the case. But then the people usually doing 'documentaries' about video game violence *do* have an agenda, and it's usually *not* a good one. -

That's what I did in these two images: Villains and Heavies.

The oribting laser platform and toronto are having a tiff. Please ignore the big space battle. Eventually flowers will rain down upon the whole of north america and everything will be okay again.

You might want to check somewhere on that, I don't think they're supposed to have Savage. It's pretty femme smexy. It would be very masculicious but I haven't seen anyone with it that I know of.

Okay so here are some of my alts with multiple costumes and supergroup mode on and off. It brings me to the point of tears to see the awful SG mode problems in the game. They really REALLY need to recode that part so sg colors are *per costume* and not *per costume PART*.

I completely agree with you on this. I don't bring it up often because I see it mentioned so regularly, but it's getting to the point where I'm thinking of starting a crusade just to get this one little thing fixed! I find it amusing that because I don't complain about something (because I already see a large number of people already up in arms about it) that I get called a fanboy a lot.

Well it's so jarring, on some of my favorite toons to play: Tani - with her TIGER COLORATION, she's supposed to have an all-white outfit for sg mode, and then the vest should be white and black, etc. But no, if I want the vest to be white, she loses the coloration. Very frustrating. Zora's the same way: those green sleeves at the bottom of purple jacket! Argh!
And there's no *actually transparent netting* for gloves?! What? so I try to come close with yellow but ugh! UGH UGH!
Plus, my own bad? I went a little helmet crazy for a moment there. Xureen, Zymon, and Lysippe will have those silly things removed at some point. Especially Lysippe because woah does she not need that. Maybe a mideval one but not that space cadet one. The khelds, they're actually aliens as well so they should have that 'bubble helmet' thing going at least once in their lives... -
Might have been Bloodshadow - does she have group invis? I remember running around practically invisble the whole time

Atrocity, Lysippe, Rocky
Infinty Grrl, Barbed lifeline, Crazy Doc Sanger, Piers hoarfrost
Jake, Iris, Zora Iris and Zora, along with Winterkill and Baeris and Lucas are in the same SG.
Retail and Amalthea Obviously there's a lot more of RR costumes because she's my 50.
Uma, Ellie, Dark red panda And Ellie's test server costume is so much better than that middle one... :/
Winter's true spirit, winterkill, and Jett sam I love the bundles of stuff on Jett. I'd so be wearing that. It's actualy the savage pattern on a bulky shirt. Winter can be seen better (except I haven't updated with the 3rd costume) here.
Xureen and Zymon my kheldians have their own collages
