Seriously, thank you all for the replies, arguments and banter...its been a joy to read it all.
I decided that i'm gunna try one regardless, it's gunna be mainly PvE and it's something i don't see everyday (and in about 20 levels i'll probably know why )

So i take it Mace is a bit Meh! like i expected....so whats Axe like, i really want this tanker to be weaponed, and if Mace doesn't cut the mustard.....i supose it's onto the Axe.

I took stamina as soon as it was availble and never looked back, MA works out to be quite an End heavy set at the end game, especially if you decide to run Tough and Focused Accy.
But don't underestimate to usefullness of MoG, i pushed mine back and got it at lvl44 and its saved my a** a few times now....always good to have a back up for when IH runs out on those drawn out fights. -
I completely forgot about Burn, useless in PvE...but would be good for keeping Melee based toons away, if you go for it i would probably get 3 Recharge in there to get it back as quick as poss.

Just a couple of things i can see...not a definitive view, but i have a fair degree of experience with this game.
Only really need 1 Endredux in the sheilds, changing to 2 when you get some free slots, move the spare ones from Fire Shield to Plasma Sheild for Damage Resistance.
Definetly gunna need Damage enhancements in your attacks, especially if you plan to be a Scranker.
Lose Temperature Protection....its pretty useless, and just keep the default slot in Rise of the Phoenix, it'll come round fast enough as it is with a SO recharge in there.
Fitness...you need Stamina, nuff said.

I'm trying to decide on a secondary for a new Invuln/**** Tanker and i'm looking for peoples thoughts and opinions on the War Mace set, i think i've only ever teamed with one in nearly 2 years which leads me to believe its a bit Meh!
Reason for Mace is i already have Super Strength on a toon, played Energy Melee till early 40s on a Brute, currently playin Stone Melee on a Brute and played with my G/Fs Fire/Fire Tanker a lil...so its only Ice Melee, Battle Axe and War Mace i haven't tried and War Mace looks like it'll fit my concept a lil better.
Oh...and one more thing, how well does it stand solo for times when teams are in short suply. -
Cheers, this is the second time a planner has mucked up my slots...last time it was an Accy in Combat Jump (just incase i miss my landing??), i assure you that it was meant to be an EndMod in stamina and an Accy in Terrify, which also seems to be missing the default slot at 26
I was lookin all the way through the build to squeeze in Hasten, but couldn't find an opening...will be a case of play through and ajust as i go i think.

With the release of Issue 8 due soon, and with it Vetrespecs i've been looking at my toons and deciding what can be done with them(especially now i'm using a planner )
I currently have a Dark/Sonic sat around waiting to be worked and thought i'd plan the build ready. Main things are it needs to be able to solo as well as team...for those slow days, and its not built for PvP...yet!

I've had resonable experience with other ATs that rely on shields(Scrappers/Brutes) but it was the other things specific to the Ice set that i had concerns about regarding slotting.
Also i cant decide on what Epic to go with, tied with either Ice(for concept, and a hold for sappers) or Energy(for FA and maybe Conserve Power)...whats peoples thoughts? -

I knew by looking at the powers this was gunna be a tight build....but man! To think i had thoughts of trying to fit the fighting pool in here too
New build then, pretty much the same as the last one but bumped some of the powers back a lvl to fit in Essence Boost and lost the Leadership pool completely, it was only there to fill anyway.

My PB is currently sat at lvl22 waiting for the vetran respec and thought i post what i hope is a passable build for a mainly solo PB.
As stated i do solo most of the time, but quite happy to team if the situation arises, its a PvE only build as well.
Thoughts please. -
I can't comment on the Mind control side as never tried it past lvl10, but i have been lvl'in a fire/fire recently.
I took Fire Breath way before Fire Blast (on recently took it at lvl28) and Fire Breath does huge damage for a moderate damage power. My only attacks until 28 was Flares, Incinerate and Fire Breath...and fleshed the damage out with my ST Hold and managed to cruise through most missions.
Basicly i would swap Fire Blast and Breath round. -

This is what i've just thrown together, only done up to the PP picks as not sure what to go with yet, yes....there is a lack of Aid Self, mainly because couldn't see where to fit it in, may take in the PP area if i choose not to take one.
This is a purely PvE build for now. -
I'm working my lvl27 Fire/Fire Dom at the mo, and must say i'm loving every minute of it....apart from the getting knocked on my A** every five mins, this where advice is needed.
I realise that Acro is KB/Hold protection (Mag 1, i think) but dont currently have the space to fit in the leaping pool for it, would it make more sense for me to drop my SS/Stealth combo that i took for easy ghosting if things got to tough, for the leaping pool...making me a lil more stable.
It's too early to mess about with hero planner, so i'll just jot the powers i've taken:

Fire Breath
Firey Embrace
Hasten/Superspeed

Hurdle/Health/Stamina
Challenge(Presence for added control)
I would like to keep the Presence pool as it would be a nice bonus for both solo/team play i feel, so would need to lose 3 powers for Acro...along the lines of Superspeed, Stealth, Fire Cages, that way i get to keep Hasten.
Would this make more sense to people....answers on a postcard -
I'm currently sat on the easiest rep at lvl28, but fully intend to up it once i get my Imps....man i really want Imps
