Well, player wise, Bloody Bay is as close to an empty wasteland as you'll ever see

    [/ QUOTE ]

Its the best zone for fly/SS races.
  3. Remove players from pvp zones, they dont let me have 1v1 with the Fortunatas

    OMG, how many IOs dude!?!??!?!?!

    *chuckles*
Oh, Dark Melee is really nice for a stalker mainly for three reasons:
    - The -ToHit is a nice bonus. Nobody will complain about being hit less often.
    - Touch of Fear... This is so damn useful. Even EBs can be made to tremble in fear while you have all the time in the world to regain some endurance, prepare for the next AS, read a book or whatever. Personally, I find some very sadistic pleasure in releasing Mako's Water Spout right after the opening AS and stacking Touches of Fear on the helpless Boss/EB before the real "fight" begins.
And I think I don't have to mention how useful fear is in PvP.
    - Critting with Midnight Grasp is downright scary.
Clearly, anyone who says that stalkers' DM is weak should really do his homework. My Dark stalker defeats enemies with ease where my Claws stalker felt like he was scratching a brick wall with a sharpened carrot.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Heh, Midnight Grasp from hide is scary, indeed. And its immob helps a bit too

Defiant RV is [censored] all. Went in there for 2 min the other day. 2 Villains moaning for not being allowed to farm. And after that they were moaning cause they wanted to do 1vs1 and huggle with the heroes and not fight properly in the zone. RV is just lame.

    [/ QUOTE ]

God, i hate that. Seriously i am not bothered if someone do 1v1s in a zone thats empty or there are a few players. But when having blasters jump around, scrappers run all around the shop, stalkers AS everyone and such, you Cannot do 1v1s. Usually they say " Meh, cba go all the way to arena". And if you interupt them ( I love doing that ) They moan. I even got a threat message by someone last night for killing him. And that was not even RV, was WB evening. RV imo is a serious joke and i agree with TG. Not only the crappy 1v1s with no inspis like : " I AM EM/NIN STALKER, U R SQUISH K, NO INSPIS, STUN N KILL U" but the farmers/badgehunters destroy the zone. I dont mind farmers who fight, but i HATE farmers who say " pls let me farm, leave me alone i dont wanna fight".

    Edit: Sudin is the bomb.
  7. [ QUOTE ]
Yea ive actually had a disagreement with a couple of stalkers over something like this. They were arguing that using leadership and focused accuracy and +per set bonuses was cheating because it took away their advantage....

Sigh... ironically these were stalkers who chant "anything goes in a pvp zone" while popping insps when the heat got too much for them hehe. Btw have they fixed that exploit in Sirens yet that seemed to be popular a few weeks back?

    [/ QUOTE ]

You can see many of them at RV too 'dueling'. They are EM/Nins (i.e) and asking a squish for a duel with no inspis. "LET ME STUN U AND KILL U, DONT USE BF, COWARD"
  8. [ QUOTE ]
    How to fix it all!

Put 100s of heavies in Bloody Bay so everyone can have one and have a massive war with lots of heavies each! Like a Gladiator Zone lol

Completely change RV into a smaller zone. Scrap the Heroes/Villains idea for this zone and just have 2 sides, a mix of both Heroes/Villains, you can pick a side when you enter.

This would completely go against story, the aim of RV, the name, and probably allow ppl to exploit BB somehow. BUT! It sounds 1000 times more fun, and thats what games are all about right! FUN FUN FUN!!!

    [/ QUOTE ]

Or, throw far-seer to AVs and watch him die
  9. Its because its a cone iirc. Same happens with Shadow Maul. Although, Eagles Claw/Midnight grap (took 2 random powersets MA/DM) Always hit Critical when you do them while hidden.
  10. [ QUOTE ]
Yeah Zaldor's conga-line of stalker goodness is pretty fair and I can't argue with it for RV and high end PvP, but in Sirens, when squishies don't have epic shields, I think Spines has even more merit than Zaldor gives them, and in my humble and biased opinion, the Sirens food chain would be thus:

    EM/Spines* > Dark/MA > Claws/NB

*one can 2 shot scrappers, other can set up kills and help loads with spiking from range, as well as immobing squishies with no mez protection making their job even easier

    [/ QUOTE ]

  11. RV is the most [censored] pvp zone. Full of mobs and farmers/badgehunters who are crying if you attack them. I deny to pvp in a zone like this. Not to mention the heavies that everyone get one and like 1 shot you with it. Also, FFA is cool in Warburg and its balanced since its lvl 38. Because Epic powers are making a huge difference, instead of our crappy Patron powers.

You very rarely see Dark melee Stalkers? is there a reason? should i steer clear? Cheers for any insight

    [/ QUOTE ]

Because Dark Melee is the most crappy Stalker Primary there is!

I would take Ninja Blade or Martial Arts if I was to re-roll my Stalker (who is Claws/Regen and dearly hated ).

    [/ QUOTE ]

    According to WHOM ?

I wouldnt go for NB in pvp, really. Your most damaging attack, golden dragonfly, has not 100% change to critical when in hide. Also not a Mez and the recharges/endurance it costs for its damage is a plain joke. Claws (believe it or not) can kill regen far easier than NB. MA got stun and can double critical, out of hide too. Spines is your Ranged choice. Its, in my opinion, an awesome set. But its boring to wait till lvl 18 for third attack which is impale. For pvp it works great.

So in short, EM or Dark > MA > Spines > Claws > NB imo.

How come? I got some already

    [/ QUOTE ]

I tried to get some at Union, l keep trying like 5 days now, there is one lvl 50, last price 20 mils. And i dont play 20 mils for one
  14. [ QUOTE ]
Well, thank you for telling us what is and isn't allowed. :P

One minor point, I wouldn't want you to inadvertantly mislead people, when you say "them" you make it sound like something you guys don't do. Really, lets be honest, when not in the safety of a nice big heavily buff orientated team, a lot of your guys will be seen haring (OK, technically, crawling I suppose would be more accurate if they've a couple of kinetics after them) back to the safe zone and popping inspirations like sweeties.

At least I'm honest about how I play. It's just sensible. Much like the heavies in RV, I'm not actually a big fan, but while they're there, and other people are using it, I will too. It's be silly not too.

Really seriously though, you don't see us much in Warburg lately because we don't like the huddle on the beach. I went in there again last night and it was the usual hodge podge of tankers, scrappers, brutes and stalkers on the same predictable corner of the beach, half of 'em attempting to duel no doubt although I tend not to stop and look too closely. If people used the zone a bit better then you wouldn't get the things that the main "pvpers" (and I don't include us, we're not a PvP supergroup, we just do a bit of zone PvP for a laugh, some more than others I'll admit) seen to hate. If you don't like it, do something about it. You really, honestly, don't have to go to the beach, there is no ice cream van I promise.

I like fight on hero boat too

    [Edit]

To Dark Blasphemy, logs are -> Program Files->Cityofheroes->Logs. And from there you can see the logs, dates etc.

lets go for it, and xanthus, i think people may be more inclined to lend a hand on your defiant raids because there have been so many, considering you had yet to lead a union raid it was unlikely people would jump at the chance to follow you.

announcing it in all caps on arena probably didnt make you look to good either.

[/Sarcasm] Yes. That was a huge problem. [/End Sarcasm]

Staying alive is a major part in PvP, specially if you are solo. But then again, staying alive is illegal these days on Union, you HAVE to stand toe to toe with a brute, if you don't, you're a unskilled PvP n00b. [/sarcasm]

    [/ QUOTE ]

stp runin nub, u alvays use insps u nub, stay n fght dont run aroun, NUUUUB!!!
  20. [ QUOTE ]
Almost all my play time in Warburg is spent trying to move fights away from the beach, which I hate. It totally kills the zone having everyone hanging around there in my opinion, which is why it's my least favourite zone to PvP in.

I have no earthly idea why the people who whine the loudest about heroes running to the boat, always go straight to the hero beach the minute they get in zone.

Silly, if you ask me. The zone is much better when the play is spread around it.

    [/ QUOTE ]

IMO, they must remove the safe zone. And instead, make an indoor (like hospital) safe zone. PvP will disable from the character for some minutes, so i bet most will be bored to run again and not be able to pvp for 2-3 mins. I was really annoyed yesterday with a brute who was like in and out, in and out from the safe zone. BU, out of the safe area, ET and TF and back again. Its getting boring, not only for the player who does it, but for the player who is trying to pvp.

    [Edit]

Its different to run away to save your life. And its different to run at the safe zone to save your life. IMO anyway.
  21. [ QUOTE ]
I discovered that attacking someone by yourself when they are taking turrets is ganking them - even if they have a heavy and you don't and the turrets are neutral!

Also a Elude, insps or buffs are unfair.

It makes no difference what you do tbh - whenever you defeat anyone in a PvP zone there's a good chance they'll be taking a trip in the waaaaambulance.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Elude is for nubz wahahahhah! plz dont turn on your toggles so my heavy can kill u easier

Its very funny to see guys like them at pvp zones
  22. [ QUOTE ]
I pretty much only ever play Defenders in zone PvP (hero side, I wanted something super-powerful so I built a Dominator for villain side ) on Union, and I have established, I think, what is generally expected in order to avoid getting moaned at. You just need to follow these three simple steps:

    1. Don't buff people, it's lame.
    2. Stand still, being stunned while standing still would help, it'll avoid the possibility of you accidentally falling face first onto a heal button or something.
    3. Die. Lots.

Do more than that and you'll tend to get whinged at a fair bit. Defenders are there to provide easy kills - everyone knows that!

And to npcs to get debt if possible. kthx
