  1. Thanks for the info, even if it was a bit short notice...

Unfortunately, I have to get up for work at 4:45 AM EDT on Wednesday, so 9 PM is a tad late for me.

Good luck all the same !

    Glove Slap

I must confess: I have a level 50 SS/Invuln Tanker that still has Hand Clap.

Why ? Concept idea: it was my 1st toon, and I wanted to make him with *all* its primary powers and *all* its secondary powers - I even took "Hurl", which is even more useless to me than Hand Clap.

I use it from time to time to:

    a) clear up a mob that would have sneaked past me and is attacking a non-melee player (ex. Empath Defender) - especially if I notice the health bar of that player melting like butter in a saucepan...

    b) play "bounce ball" with a lieutenant standing between me and a wall 10 feet away...

    c) break up a large mob, mostly when I solo - "OK, that's enough - I'll get to you in a moment..."

  5. EDIT: when you wrote "8 PM", you meant "8 PM Eastern" ?

    Humm..... an intriguing proposition....

  6. Sorry, missed that one....

But more about this: would that be a feature that would be good to have, a link to Vidiotmaps or Paragon Wiki?
    Either one would be good.

    MOAR SLEEP!
  8. I have never done this TF, so it would be... interesting (*gives $0.05 to Major T *).

I have a mid-30s scrapper I'll try to push up to 40, or I could take my 50+1 tanker just for the heck of it.

EDIT: I have to bow out of this one: something came up and I might not be home by 12pm EDT
  9. I second what Zwillinger and Nalrok said, and would like to add: it's a very casual-player friendly game (at least until you get to the endgame). You only have 1/2 hour to play, you can still do all kind of stuff...

Well, more of an interface for it since it is basically a website based off a simple template. The intent is to keep it simplistic. The supergroup links are a possible addition to the left side panel.

    https://sites.google.com/site/cohprotector/

This will go live soon, replacing the current one. URLs will remain the same.

    Thoughts and suggestions welcome.
The new Calendar looks really nice, except...
    1. The Calendar shows "Rush the Rikti" tonight at 8PM (oh my god, I'm late, I'm late, I'm late !), but the description states "Scheduled for 9PM EST". Pro'lly just a typo, easily fixed...

EDIT: hummm... 9 PM EST, and we're in EDT (daylight saving time) now... could be the reason why...

    2. ... but hey, there's a map link - I could really use a good map of the Rikti War Zone...

Alas, that was not to happen:

And I thought you could find anything in Google !

For once I don't have to get up at 4:45 AM on Tuesday, so I'll take that Last Chance...
  13. To get some ideas, you might want to check Father Xmas's guide to picking computer components

His low-end system is a bit more expensive than the budget you mentioned, but there should be a way to finagle something out of it.

Images leap to mind when I hear them, even before I saw them.

My favorite names for my character thus far include:

Total Violence. My first villain ever and one of my all-time faves. A brutal, violent thug with more power than sense who is only happy when he's smashing something.

Johnny Shock. An elec/elec Blaster who gained his powers when his band was attacked during the Praetorian invasion.

Major-Disaster. A Shield scrapper and my only homage character to Captain America. You see the super soldier program didn't get where it did without a few less than stellar experiments...

So...what are YOUR favorite toon's names and how did you come by them?
humm... all my characters' names were my "favorite" at one point or another, otherwise I would not have chosen them... so it's hard for me to answer the first part of your question.

    As the second part:
    • some are from my old Villains and Vigilantes PnP RPG sessions (Enora, Kreetch, No-Bana, Grey Templar, John Vanguard)
    • some are "inspired" by all those comic books I read (Madam Rouge [Teen Titans/Doom Patrol], GreenKnight [Knights of Pendragon], Chilltouch [60's DC comics], ChaosBringer [80's Image comics], Mademoiselle Loyal [Marvel's Crime Circus], Dirk Nebula [cheesy 60's horror comics hosts]
    • some are just from my love of truly horrendous puns (Herder P3-1416, First of July [Canada flag-themed hero], MENIAC, Urbain DuBois, C-Spot Ron, Grosse Douceur, Lionelle, Monique Sonique, Sergeant St.Nick [a cross between Sgt. Rock and Saint Nicholas], Doc Zilla, Dull Dan Dugan [Dual Blades Brute], Miss Yuu)

um, how do we make this happen? I would totally and completely buy statues of my character in his various costumes -- especially at $30 a pop!
How about an yarn doll version of your favorite CoX character ?
  17. Happy Birthday, SIR !

  19. Too bad I did not see that thread earlier...
I spent from 9:00 PM till midnight EDT yesterday playing my born-and-bred Canadian Hero, 'First of July', thru some Hollows mishes.

Let's see... played for 6 years, gained 12 levels, carry the zero...............
He should be able to do Incarnate Stuff on July 1st, 2030 !
