  3. I thought Virgil had been done but it was paired with newPosi as opposed to Synapse. Plus, Eden Trial got picked as a WST and it doesn't have a true redside counterpart. I like Eden and all but I thought it was an incredibly weird for Eden to get picked over the Ouro TFs. I really hope the Rogue/Vigilante thing isn't the reason because in my opinion it's poor logic since they still have access to their original side and with enough warning they can switch sides then switch back if they want to bad enough.

  5. SupaFreak has been MIA and a few of us have been a little concerned. We're hoping it's just an account hiccup and not something more serious.
  6. As far as characters looking too well built, it really depends on perspective and design preferences. To me, make a character thin enough and they start looking...sickly. It's something that bugged me about one or two of the Azuria designs here though I'm assuming that they were trying to "match" her original physical build. Plus, there's lots of little things that can be done with a physical build to make it less "super". Adjust the overall width, shrink the height, widen the waist, flatten the chest, etc.

  11. A few thoughts:

    I wonder just how much of wardrobe restriction they would have. While they work for the city, they exist in a world of superheroes. It could be argued that a little bit of embellishment might make sense.

    I wonder if trying too hard to match the suit and tie look will remove some of the individuality of the contacts. One of the compliments leveraged towards redside is that the contacts are generally very memorable.

    Snipers?

    Pick one that's pre made. Pending on your theme, you may be able to recolor them to suit your needs. Player's lack the settings to accurately make Sniper class enemies though some individual sniping powers like Blazing Bolt exist. Mainly, you can't give custom critters 149ft perception.

    It's still in Atlas, you can see it in the screenshots.

    My concern is not the sheer fact that it it exists. Rather my concern/dislike is the location and the negative stigma. Location is bad because it DOES tend to breed the 'AE Baby' population. As far as stigma, people are so used to farming the system you can't get people to run it for story missions. A lot of that is due to missed opportunity and poor handling (you know, like base building...) where people who were previously invested in the system have dropped out.

  19. Cloak of Fear is one of those nice to have if you have space but skippable powers, something odd for me to say. It IS more mitigation but it's noticibly leaky. The stuns, including Soul Transfer, tend to be better. However, CoF is slottable for to hit debuff so that may be a beter option or perhaps frankenslotting.
  20. Figured it would be pretty duck and cover for those three topics which is why I didn't bother when this thread was started. Reposting these from the other thread since most of these can be confirmed simply by playing their setup as opposed to asking a question.
    • I see comments on Atlas...any impressions of Mercy? I know it's been stated that it's a far smaller overhaul but still curious.
    • With Mercy being adjusted, where is the new starting point? Rough guess I'd assume either the clock tower of some generic bunker.
    • Are Kalinda and Burke still around in Mercy or is it just one contact now? Or more perhaps?
    • Who are the contacts for Atlas? Is it just the same 5? Mix and match between Atlas and Galaxy contacts?
    • Has the AE building been removed from the new Atlas Park? While I like AE, the current farm culture will leave a bad impression on any newcomers, especially since they'll have no choice to avoid it with Galaxy's destruction. Plus, people who want it that bad can easily reach Kings Row.
    • With this new sewer trial being added and supposedly replacing the Sewer Network, does this mean that the Abandoned Sewer Trial has been discontinued?

    This may turn people off. Defeat alls as an objective are generally frowned upon on large and/or outdoor maps. Mainly you need to ask, how does this affect the story? If you're defeating them as a show of force then a defeat all may actually make very good story sense but for the sake of tediousness a smaller map may be best. You could require individual named base commanders be taken out. You could even just have the computer as the only objective. This gives the player a choice of stealthing their way in or smashing through everything in sight. It all comes down to what works best for the story.

    There's two ways to go about this and both are valid. One is basically what you have: Here's something I did and you can replay it. It's rather overt about you not being the one who initially did it which can be bad for someone who wants to treat it as an actual act but good for concepts based on training for fighting different heroes, "nice guy who plays GTA", or a detective researching the case. Pending on your villain, it could even be a sort of underground "Heh heh, wanna see how I killed this hero? $100 and you can relive it man". Another option is to make it so that while you know it's supposed to be based on what your villain did, treat the wording as if the player is the one doing it. Essentially, "AE is real (ignore the glowing column...)". Different players have different preferences on what missions they prefer though it all comes down to what you as the writer feel is best.

    I have a feeling that's how it works. One thing that didn't occur to ask until now: How will this affect exempting? Could you inadvertantly wind up boosting an IO outside of a lower level range's availability? Also, what does and doesn't get affected as far as actual enhancements?
