Temporal Selection is single target, and only effects a 1-3 people on the team at a time. If it was an AOE buff, I'd feel like I needed to pick it up. As it is, not so much.
Temporal Distortion I'm thinking about skipping. I haven't found the slow effect to be that big of a difference in play, and the Lockdown proc I put in it hardly goes off, so I'm guess it's not triggering the hold effect that often, and I hardly see enemies get held by the powers hold effect.
If I find I want another power slot (and I do) and this power doesn't start showing signs of improvement, I'll probably respec out of it. -

What's in a name, anyway? If it's your global name then I can see wanting to lock it down fast as possible on any server much less Exalted. In any case, until the come up with a new system it's first come first served. Unless you can get some serious evidence of name griefage they are likely to not strip them of the name.
If someone has a name that you want, just use /getglobalname followed by the name you seek and see who has it then send them a polite in game email/private message and ask them for it. If they politely decline, then that's that. If they are rude about it or charge in game funds or especially RL funds, then you might be able to speak to support. Not everyone took a name to spite someone, not everyone is a "name griefer"
As to global names, it would be nice if our global names were automatically reserved for us to use on all servers. For example: someone's global is "King of Hearts", that means the toon name King of Hearts is reserved for them and only them to use on the servers if they choose to use it as a toon name. If they don't it stays in reserve status so no one can claim it. If the person changes their global name, then they lose reserve status for King of Hearts on all servers and whatever they change to such as King of Diamonds becomes reserved for them on all servers. If they made a toon with the name King of Hearts they still keep the name, but lose reserve status on it for any server that they didn't make the name on. Problem with this is that the game has been around for so long that if they decide to make global names reserved on all servers, some other people may already have toons with that name, so what to do? Let them keep the name or should the support staff run a script that puts a number one at the end of their name and issue them a free rename token for that toon? Some people may not like their name being stripped from them just because it isn't their global name. -
Defender time is a bug that hasnt gotten fixed yet.

First thing that came to mind was that there was some new sensitivity to capitalization - so I tried making the name in all caps, or with a different letter capitalized - no go.
One thing that was interesting - I don't normally see the name - or a speech bubble - when sending private tells. But it was doing it with this. (So the tell would show up above my head, saying Name: Message.)
But, yeah, they're deleted, and the person that wanted it held has it now. -

Do you have the -resist patch from Time Manip yet? Slotted fully for damage? Get all that, it should help you out. -

I'm a casual zone PvP'er (or was, when that was a possibility on my home server), as well as an altoholic large team-enjoyer. I love doing TFs with big teams - That's the best part of the game for me.
it may be the unofficial RP server, but Id say there's more non RPers there.

Weirdly enough, I was able to get both TonyV and Tony V locked. Not that I think it's such a nifty keen name, it's actually one that I honestly think is generic enough that it shouldn't be "reservable." But since I'm an administrator of several popular CoH-related web sites, I don't want people impersonating me. If some other TonyV is running around out there doing missions and whatever, more power to them. If they're trying to get users' information on the Titan Network, that's a problem, and I'll pull out whatever stops I can to get them smacked down.
Name-squatting non-generic names is griefing, plain and simple. I certainly hope that the moderation department come down hard and fast on people taking names of well-known people. And yes, it most certainly is possible to draw that line, they do it all the time for infringing names or costumes.
Until/unless they do, not to put too fine a point on it, I'll be avoiding Exalted. For all the talk how awesome the CoH user base is, these types of incidents remind us how scummy some among our ranks are, not a good sign as CoH:Freedom is launching. I think it's altogether telling that as people have been wary about the potential negative impact that "freepers" will have on the game, this is going on on the so-called "VIP" server during the head start, when there aren't even any "freeper" accounts on yet.
So although I hope that the GMs will come down hard on this practice, I think it's really pathetic that it's even an issue.
First thing that seperates them from anyone on the boards, the global.
And really, I don't think most of the players out there know the people on the forums from a hole in the wall. -
If you want to stick with Rad Blast, throw in a -Resist Proc into one of your ST attacks, maybe and AOE power for teaming.
Personally, quite enjoying my DP/TIME, and Dual Pistols is consider bottom of the barrel. -

If the name was taken because someone else had the perfect character in his/her mind with Westley's name I would say tough luck. But as this seems to be done pure out of spite...I don't know...I think that's pretty low.

Westley just happens to have a name someone knows at least one person will want (Westley) and so they took it.
But Johnny had a point with the name thread. Some who had their name taken were ones who said "I don't need any specific name as I can just come up with a new one."
That said, yeeeaaah, it seems low, but then the one's doing it weren't likely the ones who started out on name sitting to begin with. -

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I was under the impression that griefing is an actionable offense.
It could easily be proven that the person(s) that did this were targeting specific "well known" and "high profile" names. If their accounts are full of such names, that is proof of griefing, and it should be addressed by the GMs/Devs.

And if you didn't see this coming, you didn't know the CoH comminity that well. -
Lots of ways to go about it, some depends on how few power pools you're willing to use, and others what powers you can do without to obtain those power pools.
DP/TIME combo for me is a tight build were I have to make some sacrifices, that I wouldn't of had to make if I went FIRE/TIME, because I'm okay with fewer Fire Blast powers, but really want them for Dual Pistols (love the animations) and have to possibly skip them.
When a new MIDS gets put out, it'll maybe help me some, but from basic planning, I doubt it. :/ -
On the bright side Maroon, Thermal doesn't have to deal with Time's Juncture getting detoggled all the time due to mez
