Since it's a click power you could carry it over to forms just like hasten. Then when you compare the two ATs, their damage isn't as far apart as before.
    Fellows,

I think that I am the unnamed friend.

    My PB suggestions...

Build Up should become a Rage clone that carries over into forms.
    • I suggest that it be retitled "Divine Wrath" or "Righteous Wrath" OR to avoid arguments that are bound to arise over those titles...simply call it "Wrath."
    • I have no problem with it being just like the SS version of Rage...Surely a PB can find SOMETHING to do during the downtime with their selfbuffs and team friendly powers...e.g. glowing touch, pulsar, taunt (in dwarf) etc.
    • Perma Wrath ftw! MWHAHAHA
Light Form should carry over into forms. It should have the crash eliminated and its numbers altered accordingly. I know what you are thinking...what do YOU mean accordingly???...
    • I suggest that it be retitled, "Resplendence." I recognize that, as some have put it, it is the "answer" to Eclipse. I still don't feel that it should function in the exact same way.
    • Kill the crash/Lower the recharge (so that it can be made perma)/Drop the Resistance buff BUT allow it to provide Resistance to EVERYTHING (like Eclipse).
    • What I am picturing here is still being able to hit the resistance cap for most damage types (except psi) when in SLOTTED (for res) dwarf, or in human form with SLOTTED (for res) shields...
    • In other words slotted to ED cap for resistance Resplendence will provide appx. 50%ish resistance to everything...Yeah, I know, the numbers sound too high don't they for something that is perma...But these are MY suggestions.
Photon Seekers are not Extracted Essences. I accept that. That being said, it is apparent that they still need work...and I'm not just talking about the "wonky" A.I ...
    • I suggest that their damage be increased and/or their recharge decreased.
I don't think we need to be able to activate these powers while in Dwarf or Nova forms. What is worth mentioning though is this, if LF is changed as I have suggested then it will be substantially less risky to drop to human to activate ANY of our other powers.

    Later,

    AIB

    P.S.

I am not on board with built in Mez resistance for Khelds.
    • Team with those that give you Mez protection...
    • Use Breakfrees...
    • Take Dwarf...
    • Use Lightform judiciously...
    • Die...(and get back up again)
    • Get Clarion...
  2. Protector PUG last night. Hopefully this will turn into a weekly event. Thanks to all who participated.

Or is there some other way your activating vengeance ? I'm assuming its the former but with Kheldians and how they are built you just never know, so I figured I would ask.
Yes. I need another person on my team in order for me to activate Vengeance. When I am solo I have to use inspirations to achieve the same effect. Inspirations fall as quickly as the enemies fall...and with AIB they fall fast.

I have many human form abilities.

    The Long Answer

    I can...

buff the defense and the attack power of myself and up to 6 of my allies using (perma) Vengeance.

I can increase my attack power regularly using buildup.

I can phase shift (w Quantum Flight) as often as is possible. While phased I can completely reheal myself in this state by using aid self and reform essence.

I can add a number of hit points with essence boost.

I can cause my teammates to be unseen and can cause myself to be invisible. While invisible I can stealth to the end of missions and then use my team tp vet power (when it is available) to tp my team to the end of a mission.

I can greatly increase my recharge with Hasten (this is perma btw).

I can lay low enemies using the double nukeage of death (Photon Seekers + Dawn Strike).

I can clear the mind of my dazed teammates using stimulant. I can heal the wounded using glowing touch. I can raise the dead using resuscitate. I can even raise myself using restore essence.

I can cause the seeing to become blind (w Pulsar) but I evidently cannot cause the blind to see...

All of these things I do from human form...

    The Short Answer

I use human form for mostly utility powers and nukeage. I use Nova for blasting and Dwarf for melee.

I went from 1-50 as a human only PB and I have experimented with alot of builds. This is what I have come to prefer.

Hope you are enjoying the game.

I understand that you kept exemping in mind when you made this build, but I hardly feel it should be such a focus to you. Purple sets that offer resistance to exotic damage for 6 slots shouldn't be a priority on a level 50 perma eclipsed Warshade build in my opinion, especially since you're also making an effort to build up your s/l defense... If you didn't 6 slot those purples (and even Posi blast 6 slotted for resistance bonuses I assume.....You could still get GREAT numbers for those powers with 5 slots and keep the desirable procs) you would have more slots to focus on building your defense up higher...

Also, I am very fond of the approach Dechs took, since he also worked in a 6 slotted Dark Extraction in his build.. He was able to pick up the recharge bonus from Expedient Reinforcement being 4 slotted as well as 2 pieces from the purple set you have 6 slotted. Of course I haven't checked to see if the 6.25 recharge bonus would be a conflict on your build..

This is not to say that your build isn't effective. It clearly is very effective, as I have seen you perform in game more times than I can count in addition to the feats you've posted here on the boards. You are one of my favorite people to team with and every time we run our Warshades together it is great fun... I'm just speaking in terms of getting the most bang for your buck.

Edit: not sure if he's made changes to this build since he e-mailed it to me the other day... But if not here is the data link: http://tinyurl.com/3c9u69k
I do keep exemping in mind. At the highest level, I usually feel like the most powerful AT on my team. When I exemp, I always feel like I am the most powerful AT on my team (and this is true when using my WS or PB). This could just be a perception thing...maybe, some will say, an ego thing but, I think that the numbers will convey this as well. Numbers, as we know, never say anything of the person's abilities behind the controls.

I don't really slot for exotic resistance. However, the ability to withstand alot of Toxic damage is certainly a great help on certain missions and TFs.

My S/L defenses are fine where they are for the way I play. I pop purples if I need to reach softcap (and I get more from killin').

One thing to keep in mind on both my Khelds is this...Look at what happens when I use Vengeance with either (and yes it is perma on both). Vengeance pushes AIB to softcap on S/L and Psi and one small inspir from softcap to EVERYTHING. This coupled with 85% resistance to everything, 300% damage to everything, numerous AOEs, and the ability to heal completely with a couple of dead enemies is why I can do silly things like....All Psi Farms.

I six slot sets for a variety of reasons, the chief being is that it allows me to reach my Def goals. I also just like the look of six slotting a power with the same set, and as you know purple enhancement bonuses work when you exemp.

Posi is six slotted in Nova Emanation not for the reistance but for the extra range. The Dam aspect of the Range/Damage enhancement is insignificant. But by giving it a bit more range it makes it easier to hit the maximum number of enemies it can hit plus it provides better synergy with the range of Dark Nova Detonation. I have dark nova detonation slotted without the Dam/Range Posi but instead I have used the +recharge proc which...when I fire this into a crowd of enemies, and typically hit the cap of 16(?) enemies, causes the proc to pretty much ALWAYS fire off. It does so over and over again and helps recharge on things...like...nukes .

2 or 3 respecs ago I had Dark Extraction slotted exactly as Dechs does. The thing that I believe you are overlooking is this...if I didn't have that extra 5% Psi Def from Soulbound I would not be hitting (i.e. going a little beyond) the softcap to Psi damage. I think that I have related to you the story of when AIB and Unregistered (an Elec/Shield Scrapper) (aka Hooch aka Hoochy aka ChickyWawa) on the day that GR was released took down the Honoree (AV) and His AV compadre. We killed the first AV then Unregi fell. I finished off the Honoree with 2 EEs in Dwarf...after I had used Vengeance. It was an epic battle wish I had a video.

Hope all of this helps. See ya in game.

And please do me a favor and put the data chunk for Serene Servant on that post as well.

    Thanks.

But please tell what is your tactics are when soloing
(I am assuming you like to solo AVs etc)
I can see that you tremendous damage in nova as well as dwarf
I pop 2 or 3 shield inspirations to raise my defense. Jump into a +3 x8 (or even +4 x8) group. Hit Eclipse - Sunless Mire - Switch to Dwarf - Dwarf Mire - Strike and Smite until I kill an enemy - Drop to Human - Unchain Essence - (occassionally I use Quasar at this point - which is generally followed by blue insipr and stygian circle)

Often I summon an Extracted Essence. As long as I have the enemies attention I switch to nova and blast a bit...though if I don't have the attention I may switch to Dwarf and taunt them off my EE...while fire mire and smashing....when Sunless recharges I go to human and use it again.

When I get three EEs out I often just jump into the groups taunting with dwarf and attacking.

If EEs are surrounded by many occassionally I pop off Barrier just to protect them.

If I ever get into trouble which doesn't usually happen...or if I am getting Spammed by people saying, "Are you farming? Please, let me join you I N33DZ XP!" I can use Phase Shift and heal comletely with Aid Self. I can also use phase shift if I need to buy some time for a power to recharge (e.g. eclipse, or vengeance of course both of these are beyond perma so I usually don't have to worry about it.)

The use of Phase Shift + Aid Other along with the numerous attacks at my disposal allowed me to solo Shadow Cysts back when it was considered an accomplishment for one person to do it. (And yes...I destroy(ed) them alot faster than a Granite Tank).

I just took to the AV soloing thing. It seems that many on the boards have been wondering (some apparently for years) whether or not it could be done. So I decided to do it.
  8. I have been around since Issue 3. I have appx. 25 level 50 ATs and several more well on their way. They are quite diverse. I have used every AT for more hours than I care to admit.

My favorite AT is my Warshade AIB. My second favorite is my Peacebringer Serene Servant. Both are currently Triform. I will never go human only again with AIB and I highly doubt that I will go back to that with Serene Servant. Biforms have never caught my interest and yes, I am well aware of the benefits that many of you would like to share with me.

AIB has gone through many respecs through the years; I estimate, 7-10. Serene Servant has probably gone through 15-20.

The build that is set before you is MY BUILD; if yours happens to be the same as mine that is fine. I hope it suits your preferences and your playstyle.

***The Slotting Order is NOT the Order in which I Slotted Serene Servant. I generally get ST attacks to 3 slots ASAP and AOEs to 4 slots ASAP. My goal is a balanced build. The Levels of the Enhancements are not Necessarily the Levels of the Enhancements on Serene Servant. You may have a different slotting philosophy and you may have different enhancements. That is fine.***

I build for...Recharge/Damage (AOE and ST)/Survivability/Utility. I can solo with ease but I have always preferred to team.

Ask me about specific selections and I'll let you know why I chose them or slotted them the way I did.

You didn't change it to a Level 49 Chimera (AV) (or a Level 51 Chimera (AV)) did you?

Just wondering. Some folks have been known to take liberites with this.

Congrats again on soloing the AV.

I had Gwell for a long time. I dropped it when I got to level 38 and began using a triform build.

I am aware of its stats, but this build is what works for my personal preferences and play style.

I do my fighting in Dwarf, Nova and Human though Human is used primarily for buffs, pets, nukes and team assitance.

I'll provide a rationale for my build decisions, for my PB and WS, in the posts I have created.

  14. Lev 50 AIB vs. Lev 49 Chimera (AV).

No Incarnate Powers. Not Pets (except Extracted Essences). Used tier 3 inspirations as you can see.

This is how we used to have to take down AVs.

I really don't consider this that great of an accomplishment.

But if you take the time to read through the recent post and discussion I had with Auroxis and Microcosm you can see why I decided to do this.

My suspicion is that it would, but I couldn't prove it without actually trying. Whether extra damage from a slightly higher AV would be enough to kill the defender in question before victory is somewhat a matter of luck (RNG).

I also have to wonder if Auroxis's build is designed specifically for soloing things. I highly doubt it is, considering Empathy's nature. If not, then a few minor changes to the build could counter the difference in 50 and 51 AV as well.

At this point, I don't even remember where the "arguments" in this thread came from or why they mattered. Kudos to both of you for doing some interesting things.
In my experience fighting an AV that is a level below me IS significantly easier than fighting one at the same level.

I just unequipped ALL of my Incarnate abilities (Alpha slot included) and soloed a Level 49 Chimera (AV) like it had to be done back in the day.

I assure you that my build is not designed for taking down AVs. As anyone from Protector who has teamed with me can tell you.

Check out the pics on the new Kheld brag board.

And Auroxis, be kind and don't post your uber empath pics on the Kheld brag board.

    Later folks.

    Yeah, thought of this too.

(Someone really needs to teach me how to quote multiple threads in the same post...Board N00B here)

The regenerated HP per second is based upon the total HPs right?

So, over the course of a 23 minute battle, would this not have a more statistically significant affect?

Additionally, there were a couple of times in the video where a little more damage from the AV would have been fatal for our Epic Empath.

I still think it could be overcome, if he used larger inspirations. He would have to diversify them a bit more though.

At anyrate, it was not a Level 51 Chimera AV, which btw is what I took down. I figured I'd toss that out in case people are wondering why this Warshade thread has turned into a Defender thread.

Enjoy the funds Auroxis. No go back to the Defender boards. Party crasher!

    Yeah, it is pretty amazing.

He almost ran out of breakfrees...which would have led to him getting sliced and diced.

Hover blasting has always been a great way of handling tough targets.

    Since you are here Micro...

How much more difficult would this be for him to do it to a Leve 51 Chimera AV?

(Think he could do it with judicious use of large inspirations???)

    Done!

Can I have that 500 mil now?
    "So, here is my offer.

Make a Video of you soloing Chimera (AV) again without any Pets (Lore or Non Lore) that are not native to your toon.

Post it and I will give you 500 million inf.

    OR

Let me come to your server and team with you and watch you take down Chimera (AV) again as I snap pictures of the action.

And I will give you 500 million inf."

I wanted you to do what you did AGAIN...even if you used the glitch...or a bunch of inspirations.

I never intended nor implied that you could lower the difficulty.

It is evident that you could not solo a Level 51 Chimera which is why you took it upon yourself to lower him to a Level 50.

These remarks and your recent actions speak volumes,
    • "I never said I soloed it, in my original post I said "here's proof that I can dish out enough damage without pets". If I was able to solo a level 51 AV with no pets and luck, I would undoubtedly start a thread about it and even bother to record it.
    • "Again, it was just proof that my DPS without pets is sufficient to beat an AV's regen, not that I can solo AV's without pets, I never claimed so. If you want to arrange for a meat-shield I could do it again."
I don't see anything in the course of our discussion that implied that I wanted you to lower the level of the AV...by doing so...you did not do what you had previously done.

Which is exactly what I wanted you to do.

So, for the time and effort you put into making the video LOWERING THE DIFFICULTY and defeating the LEVEL 50 CHIMERA (AV). I will give you 500 million influence.

I am sure that there will be many within the community who think that I should not reward you for what you have done. I am also sure that they will be all the more convinced of it when they read through this thread.

    But, here you go...

    Is your Global Email @Auroxis?

P.S. Maybe you can use these funds toward a toon that can solo a Level 51 Chimera (AV) since your Emp/Rad Defender can't do it.

Or can he...with enough inspirations...I think he might be able to...keep on trying for me will ya.

On the other hand, dishonest people tend to be the first to doubt others. If soloing AVs on a warshade wasn't trivial nowadays, I'd think your attitude in this topic would suggest your friend might not have done what you claim he did.

Regardless, I'd be careful with randomly throwing cheating accusations around, especially if you're looking for credit for what is essentially the same thing.
I just want to witness it via video or first person perspective (would my presence on the 2 person team increase Chimera's stats?)

If so then the video is the way to go.

I really don't think soloing AVs without pets of any kind (except the native Extracted Essences) is trivial.

I assure you that what I did did not involve a glitch, as the multiple battle pics indicate.

As for your offer, I would gladly take it but it took quite a while for me to get it down and I'm not sure I can reach the same situation of out-ranging/glitching him.
Surely, you'll give it a shot. (Yeah, and, it could just be me, but it seemed that you were posting the pic to prove that you did what I did...the glitch wasn't mentioned at first.)

But if you just outranged him that is still pretty awesome that you are able to pump out that much damage with just a few attacks. And without inspirations and call to power both of which I used...albeit I was on the front line the entire time.

If I had to guess, I would guess I would still be faster due to the buffs and debuffs I provide.

Also, for your amusement, here's proof that I can dish out enough damage without pets:
Congrats on soloing Chimera without (lore?) pets...here is how I did it...

    1. I used inspirations at the start of battle and then inspirs that dropped during battle.

    2. I used the enemies (remember I was at +1 x8) to buff my damage so that I could overcome his regen.

    3. In addition I summon Extracted Essences and they added to the DPS I dealt.

    4. Barrier was great, my judgement nuke was great, t4 reactive was great along with my hero buff Call to Power.

I took several pictures throughout the battle...

Now...here is the thing...I see your picture...

And this is what I know, observe, wonder and desire...

    1. Your empathy powers help to keep you alive.

    2. You have mentioned your ability to debuff (as in the quotation above)...but...Rad blasting debuffs the enemies defense...so that it is easier to land the following attack(s). Rad Blasts do not have -regen.

    3. How did you overcome the Regeneration rate of the AV? Specifically, what attack chain did you use to do it?

    4. Did you use alot of red inspirations?

    5. The AV was dying, and it appears that you decided to not use your Call to Power OR your Buildup Epic power buff as he was about to die. Were they unnecessary? Did they both just happen to recharge right when he died? Did you use those powers during the fight at all?

    6. How long did this fight take you?

    7. Here is the main question I have though...Did you use non lore pets in this fight? I see what I suspect to be, Shivans in the tray to the lower right?

You should make a video of yourself soloing an AV.

It would be far more impressive than the video with you and your Warworks on the Pylon.

An Emp/Rad defender soloing an AV, is, truly, FAR more impressive than a purpled out Warshade doing so. Unless you used pets...

    You should be rewarded.

    So, here is my offer.

And I will give you 500 million inf.

How does this sound? Because if you offered the deal to me I know I would take it.

I'm not at all worried about what an AV can do offensively.

I'm not sure how an "average" AV stacks up against a Pylon in terms of HP and Regen. Pretty sure Pylons have more regen, though. How long did it take you to down that pylon? If it took you longer than it did for me then I shouldn't have any trouble soloing the AV's you soloed.
How long do your lore pets last???

    5 minutes???

All lore pets have a "sufficient amount of resistance to everything?"

I don't know what you mean by sufficient amount. I assume you mean that you can heal your lore pets faster than any enemy can destroy them. In which case you should fight an AV. You also said they (lore pets) have a resistance to everything. Do they have resistance to S/L/E/N/F/C/T/Psi damage. In other words does every lore pet have a resistance to every form of damage?

AVs have various types of and levels of resistance to damage types and debuffs. In addition, they debuff you (in various ways depending upon the AV). I don't think Pylons have these nor do these things...if they do I suspect it is to a lesser extent.

My IDF Commander is out for only 3:20 seconds...I deploy him, then buff, then engage...I am out of the pylons range when I do this...So, since he is still on the screen when it was defeated it took me less than 3 minutes to destroy the pylon. I killed many of the AVs within this amount of time too which bodes well for when you go AV hunting.

Think about this for a moment. What if I were to use the same 2 T4 Warworks Lore Pets that you use....plus I had out 3 extracted essences when I started attacking a Pylon...How fast do you think it would go down then?

As long as you can keep your 2 Warworks pets alive, I am pretty sure you can take down AVs.

If you were using what I used...namely 1 IDF Commander and 1 Battle Orb (non-offensive) (pets not known for AV slayage) I trust that you would have a much more difficult time.

Someone who has a better understanding of game statistics should weigh in here...(Microcosm for instance).

Here are some things that I am wondering...

Do Rikti Pylons have more HPs than AVs?

Do Rikti Pylons reheal more HPPS than AVs?

If AVs have more HPs...Are you going to be able to have your 2 Offensive Warworks out long enough to bring an AV down (Are they on a 5 minute timer???)?

This of course says nothing of the DPS the AVs put out.

Let me clarify, Rikti Pylons fire volleys several seconds apart. Sure they do alot of damage (if they hit you) but you are given plenty of time to react (heal yourself and heal your pets). I do not know whether or not they debuff you.

On the other hand, AVs often have debuffs. Additionally, they do large bursts of damage and then IMMEDIATELY follow it up with an additional attack or two. I think that that is going to make Soloing an AV more difficult for you than a Pylon.

I could be wrong. Give it a shot and let me know.

    just kidding...

    would you post your build?
I am still working on mine
    Thanks
Tempting...one of the biggest problems is the Extracted Essences will occassionally go in for MELEE!!! ??? I think their A.I. needs to be tweaked, but, not as badly as Photon Seekers .

Up to this point I've only given my build to a few people.

    The reasons...

    1. AIB is still a work in progress. As I told CMDR Ops (Grill) last night, "We are all works in progress...at least until we get the Omega Slot ."

    2. I don't want to spend alot of time crafting an apology (in the classic sense of the word) for my build.

    3. I have been afraid of a certain bat being swung in my (OUR) direction. But, based upon the discussions I have read within the community, I don't think it is going to happen.

So sure...TwoHeadedBoy can post it (and while you are at it you can post my TriForm PB's build as well). Put it under two different posts if you will.

    Thanks
