  1. I think I'll try the water bearer (Aquarius).

    There's been a lot of great water-wielding toons over the years in this thread, maybe I'll try to focus on the 'bearer' part.

    If you ever needed a 13th sign there's some hocus pokery over here.

    So here is... Urnie! Urnie is a water tank. His logo is a "U" because it also looks like a water container (and maybe to some people like a U-for-uterus). Powers would be anything that has lots of spray and knockback. He's 7' tall, so feel free to make him an early casualty, if he's making too much of a splash.



    Bio: "LNW tanks at maximum capacity! Yep, you heard that right, it's not gas. I invented a breakthrough technology to fill gas tanks with water vapour. Environmentally friendly and mostly non-lethal! Sorry, Mum always says I get carried away. It's not really a bad thing, when you're a Talos Island tour guide. But that's a secret. Oh and my code name is 'Aquarius', but you can call me Urnie. My mum calls me Puddles. Okay I'll shut up now."

    I uh, um. Whoops.

    Have you ever, like, thought of something really really stupid, like, and imagined that nobody else would have thunk it 'cause it's too stupid, so even if it has no other redeeming value at least you can call it original?

    I'm not sure where exactly that paints us, but I'd love to have a second Rodin-Airhead. Don't change a thing. There's various perspectives of the statue, I'm certain yours won't be identical (although given the level of coincidence so far, it's not impossible).

    And we should team up in CoH sometime. I suspect we'd be perfectly in step, if not entirely redundant .

  4. I've loved this piece for some time, keeping it in my dA pictures without commenting, favoriting or relegating. It's like a white lion cub, only with pistols and cleavage and short pants and long platinum blonde hair and a mechazilla and

    Oh. I just got it. Brand name. It's still an awesome picture. Bakart does these pictures at a speed that just doesn't seem human, considering how detailed and good they are.

  6. These images are spectacular! I particularly like the pale background. The light through the clouds is spectacular.

    With the darkness around his waist, I am drawn to the light on his thigh (similar source to his chest) - if the sun is behind him, I'm not sure where this comes from. Perhaps if it was a different hue (red perhaps, for the white background) he might be flying towards a brightly lit conflagration.

    But this is very minor. This is still my favorite CH action shot.
  7. That is incredible. It's not how I imagined it would be, daylight, more reds, but it's stunning as a night time picture. I like the choice of Fenian Wolf's dark sea green outfit.

  10. Woah, that's one red dude. Judging only the colours this time around, he looks great!

    For page 2, there's a large object apparently in a crater, with people walking towards it. The panel below that has a mostly empty crater. Not sure what that metal building/ship thing was. I thought maybe the gold mirror device was a defibrillator, but it doesn't have any cables. But I get the gist that CH came to earth (maybe with a bit other object?) and that he was rescued, probably by a high-tech medic.

    Despite my confusion, these pages are beautiful to look at.

    I'd love to do something like this, but my penchant for 'everyone is a winner' would create something cluttered and incongruous. And then I'd have to find an artist even more gullible than me.

  16. It just keeps getting better. The turnaround is incredible. It really looks like an unstoppable man wrapped in fabric meant to last. I like the red-brown hair, a bit more unusual than black.

    I think that's the idea, yeah. His left leg looks like it is always forward, and his right leg is always behind him, so it's some sort of mad spasm. Needs more banana peel.

  19. Wow. The latest picture just oozes "Russia" for me. He looks a bit older than other pictures, but it's shaping up to be my favorite.

    Maybe it needs grim colours too. He looks more deadly than the aircraft. Great commission!

    I popped by to comment that the Hulk is maybe angry because the foreshortening of his arms gives him girly-hands... which would have got me hulkmashed.

    Instead I find an Airhead! That is so cool! Thank you very much!

    He's definitely developing some sort of, uh, relationship with explosives. The picture somehow reminds me of Gene Wilder. Great lines, spot on for personality, dang short fuse though...
