  1. I can access the Beta Forums but neither I can post nor can I create new threads, known bug?
  2. I have a question regarding Freedom, will us outside of US and Europe be able to easily buy something? Without having to deal with proxies and others? Right now if I want to get something from the NC Store I have to use a proxy to show me as coming from an EU IP, otherwise nothing is shown.

Are you guys taking that into consideration?

I know that the deal with LevelUp to sell the game in Brazil didn't work that well (not that many people bought) but at least you have some guys playing in here.
  3. I was going to scream bloody rage because there wasn't EU codes, until I saw the bottom part the portion to get an international code

    Thanks for the facepalm guys.

I had this problem also. I normally don't use steam although I installed CoH originally through it on this computer. When I opened steam to play Civ V it started to re-download everything for CoH.

And talking as someone who through work had to deal a LOT with those guys and their merry-go-ruound team of Incarnate Lawyers, that's one beast you don't want to face.

My calculation when Freedom hits will be: in an span of 3-4 months (normal time between issues) I will have accumulated 1200-1600 PP. If the VIP content from that period + what I can by with that amount of PP = normal content of 1 issue, I think it will be fair.

If it is a more we are getting the short stick, if it is less we are good to go.

Can we also be allowed to buy something if we are not on the US or Europe? For example, I'm Brazilian, have both an US and an EU account, but can't buy anything on the store.

I love that the new Hami means that the Blasters, Trollers and Defenders need to be the meatshield this time, drawing aggro from the tankers and scrappers.

BTW, I'm thinking of bring my Human/Nova PB along next time, if she's reached lv50 by then. Do you think she'd do best on the Yellow team? Or just switch it up depending on situation/numbers I guess...

    [/ QUOTE ]

    NOva? I think Green.

    [ QUOTE ]
Oh, and... IIRC there was a rule with the old Hami saying not to use AOE attacks. With less mitos and them more spread out, do you think that still needs to stand?

    [/ QUOTE ]

I don't think so mate, but it wouldn't help much either. The Mythos need to be taken each at a time, and usually ST yields more damage. But no, I don't think there would be a problem.

Wow. You make it look so simple!

    [/ QUOTE ]

But after we learned, it was mate. The strategy itself ain't complicated. Diverging the healings by attacking a Green Mytho directed as you called was pretty good, and we were taking down the Yellows fast by the end of it.

Of course taht depends on willing teams and good coordination and a bit of practice to work fast. But check the US guides, now THAT ain't simple at all. The strategy we used worked fantasticly well, special on the last run. And DO not depend on much (come on 2 Taunt teams with two tankers and 3 Dedicated Emps each???).

Ah, and sorry for been a bit pain in the Tells to you hehe.

Looks good, except for this part:

If Anyone has Group Fly should be running.

    [/ QUOTE ]
IMO, Fly and especially group Fly slows everyone down waaaay too much. It will take much longer to get from Mito to Mito, making us waste too many EoE's, too keep alive during the longer duration.

    [/ QUOTE ]
The point is to make easier for the now flyer to attack the Higher mythos. NOt use Group Fly to get here but once on a higher up mythos use it to make easier.

    [ QUOTE ]
Gratz guys now give us details how long it take you ?

    [/ QUOTE ]

The Raid took a total of 2:30 hours, including spawning Hamidon. The first runs were the longes with the last taking about 15 minutes I think. And I'm sure we SHOULD put our strategy to a guide. Checking the US forums, their team compositions are too complicated and not necessary as we saw here. The key points of the raid were:

    1. One dedicated Healer in each group;
    2. Two targeters. One for yellow mythos, another for the green mythos;
    3. Haling blanket on the green nythos team;
    4. Howling Twilight and Oil Slick .

Here how the strategy goes. We will have too teams.

The Killing Machine - This will be composed by all the heavy melee types and the Rad Defenders\Trollers.

The Suicide Decoys - The rest of the controllers and a bunch of healers to make a healing blanket.

The Strategy - Before going, team people are spammed with Clarity, Clear Mind and Inertial Reduction. If Anyone has Group Fly should be running. Both teams move together in the Goo at oppose directions. Popping an EoE just before arriving so we can maximize the duration. The Suicide Decoys will run deep inside and spam holds on one of the Green Mythos, drawing the aggro from the The Killing Machine. And more important, diverging the heals. If someone dies here, he should be Teleported to Cowards Hill and rezzed, and came back suicide after , without popping an EoE.

Meanwhile The Killing Machine will try to get as many possible Mythos as they can. In our last clearing, the best, we could take 3 of the Yellow Mythos. The last one were down to Half Life when the EoE ended. Do not run, keep attacking until you are dead.

After the last Yellow goes down, everyone joins the The Suicide Decoys, and DO NOT POP ANY MORE EOE. There is no need. Just go to the healing blanket, select the new Targeter and clear the Greens first, and the blues Last. Beat Hamidon, mass death on the Mythos spawn. Repeat.

If the raid can keep the getting 3 yellows per EoE we will need only 8 per hero.

    Enjoy your raids kids

WOOO. Man that rocked, bit of a slow start, but we got it in the end, went easy as pie once we worked out exactly what to do.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yeah, the last run we took 3 Yellows with one EoE each. That was pretty good

    And tons of Invention Salvage

By the way, my current LT character doesn't wear furs. He's more of a silk shirt, leather trousers, wasitcoat and great coat sort of man. Total ponce. And this year he gets to blow people's heads off at range.

Oh my. Are you some leftover of a Hair-metal band?

WoW!!!! Just wow! that is a new one.

I do not know if the story is true or not, but the characters do seem real. At least they look like Brazilian corrupt cops. Although a mouth full of golden teeth is something I never saw anyone using on the last 15 years. But the booze, prostitutes and guns part is possible.

Man. I would be scared to death. Hope not literally.

Incidentally, that wasn't the only time the police turned up to a live Vampire session I was involved in, just the only one they showed up with automatic weapons at.

    [/ QUOTE ]

One thing I learned on my old LARP sections, never RP close to a police station. It is bad business.

One other "funny" (and I lose this on the most dark sense of the word) story, happened about 2 year ago here. Two guys went to the house of a friend. Killed him and his family, but not before clearing the bank accounts and robbing everything they could. Knowing that the guy played RPG, and the fearmongery around it here (blame the family and the christian zealots), they got some of the books (a bunch of GURPS suplements) and threw them around the floor.

The police arrested them, and they alleged that it was a RP session, and the kid they killed were responsible, that he had a devil pact and made they do this. Of course the press came back to RPG bashing. The police, during the investigation did one of the best thing I ever seen they do. After the re-enactment(sp?) of the crime, they put the two on the floor, gave them the books, some dice, and said "Ok, so you three were playing an RPG adventure. Go ahead and play one." Of course the two murderers had no idea what to do, what rules to use. Why the books were there. And their defense went downhill.

My guess, some of the cop's sons, must been players, and it was been bad for their image. So they called the bluff. It was hilarious. Although, of course, the press said nothing afterwards. Since talk good about RPG do not papers sell.
  21. woot, congratulations mate
