1. Never even heard of that global before.
2. Why wasn't i contacted for this project? sounds fun! -
Lol at the guy who claimed there was pvp on victory. Lololol.
I'm rolling toons on exalted but I have 50's everywhere so it doesn't matter. Also, everyone worth a damn on pinn is leaving for star wars. -
Quote:I wish there would be some actions taken against members of the channel that have used said channel to discriminate against other members, and have gotten other members of the channel to harass other players in private.
That's why I'm not in PB any more.
If someone is breaking the Eula then send a petition. Mods can silence and kick. They can't be responsible for private tells. -

Quote:NiceI just tried this in BMT:
/chan_timeout "BMT of Champion" 30
Channel population before: 2474
Channel population now: 997
Of course, this now means that I have likely kicked more people from the channel in one swoop than Cobalt has the entire time he was an Op...
However, we do have plenty of room for people to hop in now. -
Quote:I'm well aware that it's been in-game for quite a while, that's why I tried to use it. And you would be the first person to say that it works. I've tried it numerous times where I know there are accounts in the channel that've been away for passed the time limit set, and the channel member count doesn't change after usin' the command. Thus, it doesn't work. Additionally, it's on the QoL list for a fix, which also tells me that it doesn't work. And, as I stated before, I've been in contact with various Devs and Community folks that tells me its bein' worked on or fixed. Which tells me it doesn't work.

Plenty of people got it working here. It was in the i18 patch notes.
In fact I just tested it on a smaller channel myself and it worked fine. I know for the larger channel we did it on, we set it for 1 day which caused a huge purge and then set it to 90-120 days with the thought being that anyone worth having in the channel who would contribute would be smart enough to rejoin if they were kicked.

Hope this helps. GLHF -
Quote:If you're referring to this....Yeah, I was one o' the people that had Ocho put it on the list, and I've also been in contact with both Zwillinger and Avatea about it, and they've assured me that it's still on the list.
/chan_timeout <channel name> <days>
Sets the number of days a member of a global channel must go without logging in before being automatically kicked from the channel.
It's been in the game for quite a while, and works fine. We cleaned up some channels with it. -
I keep my machines immaculate. Sometimes i'll go to suspicious sites just to load up on viruses just so i can get rid of them.
I use Malwarebytes, a great free anti-virus called "removeit xt pro" and Avast. I alos have a few other cleaners that i use on a regular basis. -

Looking to find out who would be interested in a PVP Deathmatch tournament event.
Basically, it will be an 8 or 16 person single elimination one day tournament. Most likely held on a sunday (looking at possibly sunday august 28th) and will probably start around 3-5pm EST. Time and date subject to change. We may possibly do 2 different tournaments. One earlier in the day and one later in the evening so people have a better chance of participating.
Each entrant will roll a new toon specifically for the event. It will either be all brutes or all scrappers.
Each entrant will name the toon according to the rules to be determined later, example (Tournament - XFUNK, or Deathmatch - Toonname) or something along those lines. This will be determined when the event is formally announced.
All enhancements that you can slot at level 13 are legal.
The characters will be fighting at level 13. Your character must be level 13. No higher, no lower.
If your toon loses, the character will be deleted. There will be one winner. All other toons must be deleted (after stripping if you wish). Toons not deleted will result in that global name/player being banned from future events.
No travel powers will be allowed. No temp powers or vet powers will be allowed. No powers in the teleportation pool are allowed.
All matches will be fought on the cage match map. IN the cage only. If you go the the second level of the map, you will be disqualified. If you are knocked out of the cage, you must immediately re-enter the cage. No running around the outside of the cage. A referee will be on hand to ensure that players abide by this rule.
All tournament participants must be on ventrilo. If you don't have a mic, that's ok, you will just need to be able to listen to the referee's instructions.
If at the end of the match there is a tie, the match will go to sudden death. At the end of sudden death, the player who is listed as in first will be declared the winner and move on in the tournament.
Entry fee. To enter the tournament, you must pay with a purple recipe or enhancement. This must be any Ragnarok, any Hecatomb, or any Armageddon. No other purples will be allowed. The recipe can be crafted or uncrafted. The winner of the tournament will receive all 8 or 16 of the purples, depending on the size of the tournament.
We will do signups when the event is formally announced. Please use this thread for any questions, comments, suggestions, feedback, or to discuss anything i may have overlooked. Thanks! -
My timing is good, that's why i don't have kids.

The trials form in RWZ on Pinnacle, unless Catatomic is feeling frisky.
Like Darkgob said, join those channels, as that's where they are advertised, or hang out by Lady Grey in RWZ.
A real quick explanation of the queue system.....
If a trial is forming and isn't full, the leader can start it as an "open" trial and there is a 5 minute waiting period. This is the time that those who join the queue will be assigned to the trial.
However, if a trial forms and isn't full, they can bypass the 5 minute timer by "locking" the trial and beginning immediately with the amount of people they have. Nobody can join from the queue if it's locked.
In most cases, they either run it locked or it's usually full when they start, thus joining the queue as a solo player will have you sitting there twiddling your thumbs. So your best bet is to get in on the actual league, at least here on Pinnacle. -
Quote:Yea, i don't feel bad for the sudden death kill after you decided to drop an army on me Great fight and thanks for being a good sport and visiting the Pinnacle server.=/
But yeah, good fight. I took first round, Xfunk took second. I thought the timer running out would put us into stalemate as a nice way to end it; I had no idea about sudden death, so I just kinda stood there. The man is a tank though. We'll have to do it again sometime!
Also, you kill OCR, not DEVS. -

Quote:tl;drHi Pinnacle!
For the past few weeks, as most of you have probably noticed, the forums (and the CoX Life Discussion forum in particular) have been rife with controversy surrounding current and future game operating, progression options, and reward availability. In those many topics, people have gotten into some very heated arguments over their particular views, trying desperately to (at least) clearly illuminate their point of view and possibly to convince others to change their mind. Some people have acknowledged the opposing viewpoint, others have conceded and given up their arguments, and still others remain adamant that they are correct while no one else is. It has resulted in some topics that are extremely interesting to read, whether it is for an actual evidence-based debate that is taking place, or simply the comedic value a flame war of epic proportions.
I have played on and off since 2007 (due to other obligations), but have only been a full-time subscriber for the past year, and my forum activity has increased since. I have noticed that many of the names that I see here on the forums are names with whom I have teamed, at one point or another, on Pinnacle, and I have to congratulate the lot of you.
As with the forum community as a whole, many of your posts have been written from very different viewpoints, and vary in intensity. Some of you have appeared down right ready to start using the bat smash emote on each other, yet I log into the game and I see everyone teaming together. I myself have been very passionate about some of the issues being discussed, and have butted heads with a few of you in various topics. Not only have we managed to keep our responses to each other civilized ("we" meaning I and which ever one of you I happen to be responding to), but I can log into the game and be invited to teams and leagues by many of you, without any sign of ill feelings.
I recently made a post on one of the aforementioned topics about how communication breeds community, and I find the manner of communication in which we as a server operate, both in-game and here on the forums, is respectful, open-minded, and at the very least, tolerant. Even if you may be left seething by someone's ideas here on the forum, I have yet to see someone use those feelings as a reason to exclude someone from a team invite, and that is commendable in the gaming world. Civilized communication has given us a pretty civilized server, full of a lot of people who are willing to help one another, both newb and vet alike.
Essentially, I want to thank the Pinnacle server community for being one that prefers to take the high road. I have very much enjoyed my time here, and I hope to continue teaming with you all in the future.
Ya big ol' group o' drunks! -
I remember that name.... /tip hat

He was using Obscene as a storage sg last i saw. He's one of my sg mates so i'll mention it to him next time i see him. He might pop back in next issue.
-
I'm pretty sure 13th disciple has it and it's a storage sg atm. He isn't currently playing.
-
With base raids dead, there really is no purpose for earning prestige. So the sg and a coalition isn't used much besides a place to park alts. Global channels is where it's at, much easier to get things going, espescially with the new trials.

Quote:Pretty sure the zone and league were both full. How many people did you have in the league?
I'll have to see if I can recruit enough people to try testing it. No one is doing hami on Virtue now though thanks to the iTrials.
I'll continue beating the dead horse for the red side raids on Sunday though and dragging people kicking and screaming to do them. -
One of the latest patches cleared up some league issues, we've used the league on Pinnacle for a raid and it went fine.
