Possibility of a personal/private server release?

There are times I'll log in to CoH just to wander around zones and reminisce with the sights and sounds and such.

For a game this venerable, I wonder what the odds are of getting some kind of private server release, even one that's hamstrung (eg. no more than 8 simultaneous logins, etc).

I'd hate to no longer have access to a world that's been part of my life for so long.

I asked this as well, and while I hope TonyV can work with NCSoft to legally do this, I doubt they'll allow it. I really hope someone out there can pull a server together before it's too late, I know I'd pay in some way to help crowd fund a community run server.
