I figured, you know, I'd have enough to time to get it all done in about a year. I must've been trippin'.
EDIT: And this was for six level 50's. Meanwhile I was trying to level up all of my other alts that had been languishing in the teens and twenties forever. I've got most of them up to level 34. Looks like they'll never see level 35.
Once you make your first about 160 mil you buy a cheap purple and then convert to a damage purple and sell for about double. use profits to either buy 2 new cheap purples, convert, and continue by selling both or buy 2 cheap purples convert and keep one damage purple for your 50 and sell the other. rinse and repeat.

Also I was playing my 50's almost exclusively from September to July, trying to Incarnate them all, get all T4 abilities, and collect six of those salvage bits to purple the AT enhancements. I ended up getting quite a number of purple drops that way. I used converters to change them into what I actually needed.
Since this is the end... I'll be dumping everything for 1 inf.
EVERYTHING.
So look for some bargains you marketeering gurus.
