SR: To Elude or not to Elude
Insps work wonders for those fringe cases.
From personal experience, even with Elude, its a 50/50 chance of surviving the Overseer's since they have around 150% to hit.
Your character does not have capped defense. Depending on your AT the cap is between 175% - 225%. Your defense is not teal in the combat window, it can go higher. STOP SAYING IT IS CAPPED! The correct term is Soft Cap.
I enjoy playing in Mids. I specialize in Melee Characters, other AT's usually bore me.
Actually elude is better in those conditions than insps(you may not have correct insps and even if you do they only stay for 1 minute and if you have eulde you can use other insps like reds, oranges or greens) as long as you can plan out your crash (I use barrier or rebirth and conserve power when elude start blinking that gives me enough time to toggle back and my elude has around 5 minute recharge so when destiny loses its power I am ready to roll out again)
I took elude again for DA content for my kat/SR it works as a panic button rather nicely and having a 3 minute up rather than 2 and with no diminish return makes it better than destiny powers. (oh and I use it as a set mule for red fortune to get better recharge and with i24 hopefuly better resist)
I still like to have it.
Even if it's just for those corner-cases where I get sapped or killed & rezzed, it's a one-hit wonder instant soft-cap with endurance, speed, and recharge boost.
I have it once again on a high recharge version of my Claws/SR though it's currently mostly a mule for a LotG +recharge. Still won't by itself do diddly squat vs Rularuu Overseers and Watchers. Only stacked with Barrier while Barrier is itself nearly maxed will it keep you from getting pulverized by Eyeballs (or DE with a Quartz around). You have to be nearly at the defense HARD cap to actually floor Eyeballs chances to hit you (and I'm not sure you can floor the 'Praetorian' DE with a Quartz around without adding To Hit debuffs into the mix). As Pine said they have a +100% To Hit (for a net in the equation of 150% To Hit) and the Boss Eyeballs also have an accuracy buff of 1.3. If you have incarnate capped defense plus Elude you are sitting around 130% defense which is a long long way yet from what you'd need to floor their Final Hit Chance. Rebirth plus resistance is what will keep one alive vs Rularuu Eyes.

Edit: Meant to say Praetorian DE not Eyeballs ... oops
Well that's interesting. This whole time it was me thinking that elude was saving me from the Overseers when in reality it was the whole fact I had rebirth. It just all came up since I had recently run a Sara Moore which in the past been a nightmare for my Kat/SR only to find it was much easier than in the past.(In fact despite it being a full TF it was mostly a Dark/Dark scrapper and I were pretty much carrying the team, something I was proud about with all the Nemesis and Rularuu about) I do have tough slotted up fairly well, and when i24 rolls out I should have more resistance from the supposed resistance that is going to be in the Red Fortune set.
I know generally people say to skip Elude on SR characters but ever since I picked it back up after dropping the medicine pool on my Kat/SR I've been finding it to be rather useful. In the past fighting the Rularuu Overseers and occasionally when teaming against Nemesis I've found SR to be rather squishy. But since I picked up up Elude again I've found it to be a life saver in those situations.
Is there any other way to make yourself survivable against the avenging Nemesis, or the terrible eyeballs of doom?
