In case you missed it, a suggestion for anniversary badges

I know you don't want a discussion here but I was wondering, why can't they simply just add the badges to the Empyrean Merit vendor? Yes it would require you to gather these but it would make it available to all characters even new ones.
They could add it to the vendor once every year so that the benefit of logging in during the timeframe is that you get the badge a year in advance.
I'm not going to cross-post the suggestion here, but I did want to make the badge community aware of this suggestion I made:
