Dark/Dark as a Splatroller?

Despite having played a Plant/Storm controller to 50, I consider myself a complete controller noob.

I started a Dark/Dark controller a while back that stalled at 22, but I'm trying to pick it up again. Is it possible to play this combination as a so-called splatroller while leveling? I doubt it, but I figured I would ask those with more knowledge and experience than me.

If not, would anyone be willing to share some playstyle tips. I'm at the level where I feel like I have a lot of tools, but I'm not sure the best way to use them. Being a melee player at heart, I'm used to half of my powers being armor toggles.

Thanks for any help.

My Dark/Dark is 50 and has a slotted Spiritual Alpha...and then she got shelved for my SS/INV brute.

As for playstyle: Once I put damage procs in the AOE immob, it was night and day different. Between those, Haunt, and Lassie, I have plenty of damage to take on up to about +2s.

Basically, it's Immob > Fearsome Stare > Hold problem LTs > Immob > Ghoul on the boss, etc.

I frankenslotted Fade for DEF/Res/Recharge, so it's up pretty often, and went redside for the Soul PPP to help with end recovery and get a darkity dark AOE attack.

It's solid, quick, and a lot more fun than my Fire/Storm splatroller...but that may just be the procs.

Thanks Aurora_Girl, that's what I was looking for. I guess I'll hit up the Market tonight and see how many procs my stipend can get me.

"Splatroller" is something originally describing the Fire Control/Storm Summoning controller, whose powers and offensive capabilities basically involved splattering enemies all over the zone in total, epic awesomeness.
