I just had to reformat my comp today, and after getting my system set up again, and City reinstalled... I logged in realizing I forgot to export and save my graphics settings.
DOH!
So.. I've been trying to set it up like I had it before, and am having some very unsatisfactory results. I'm used to running on ultra mode, and having pretty kick *** graphics.. but in setting up with just about Max everything, I get some odd graphics with the Tarot cards power.
Example:
Now.. I'm sure I'm just overlooking something in the settings somewhere, but would anyone by any chance know what setting would affect the graphic that way? I can tinker with it once I know which slider it is that I need to tweak..
Now, my system is the same, just reformatted and reinstalled. Still have my vid card and memory I've been playing with for the last year, and it's never looked like that before. I was able to see real graphics before.
Help?
Thanks in advance.

Try turning off Ambient Occlusion.
Also, start up the Launcher (not the game) and do a Repair (Consistency Check).
Clicking on the linked image above will take you off the City of Heroes site. However, the guides will be linked back here.

You might also turn Geometry buffers on then off again.
