Plugging up /Fire's Psionic Hole with IO's
The difference it would make would be nearly irrelevant. 18% resistance isn't going to make a noticable difference in your ability to survive Psi damage, and 5.5% defense won't really help either unless you were at 40% to begin with.
If you could slot to get above 45% and 30% respectively it might be worth it. But the numbers you have here.....not so much.

I think you're better slotting up for tons of recharge if you're looking to mitigate Psi. Heal, heal, heal and heal again.
@Rylas
Kill 'em all. Let XP sort 'em out.
Waste of effort. There's no way in the game for toons that don't *already* have high Psi defense to actually get any.
You're better off seeing if you can bump Ranged/AoE defenses (since most Psi attacks have ranged/AoE flags) if you already have a decent amount.
I'm just going to answer the question "How to mitigage Psi?" I'm not going to get into "is it worth it", just providing facts for OP.
Here's the recipe to non-incarnate soft-cap
Apoc 5 Soulbound 5 Deva 3.75 Weave 5.8 Steadfast 3 Glad Armor 3 CJ (with lotg) 2.2 Man 3.5 sub-total 31.25 5 Imper (3 slot) 9.375 sub-total 40.625 Barrier 5 Total 45.625
Since I don't know what primary, you may not have access to 2 range attacks. Taking out the Devastation and the 5 Imp Armors, you still get to 27.5% def before Barrier. That ain't too bad. Whoops, I guess I'm treading into "worth it" territory.
Global = Hedgefund (or some derivation thereof)
Been thinking of making myself a little more resistant to Psionic damage since that seems to be the only thing that can even come close to killing me.
Defensive Wise I am at 41.25% S/L Defense and 18.75% Energy/Negative.
I currently have Reactive Armor in Plasma Shield, Fire Shield, and Tough. I am thinking about replacing it all with a 6 slot Impervium Armor which will give me 18% psi resistance and another 5.5%~ Psi Defense.
Obviously this would cost me 3.75% S/l/N/E Defense. -- Any thoughts on this?
Are there any better routes to go?
