Dimension Shift Question?
The marker would indicate the center of the DS'd zone. Honestly, My grav dommy skipped DS and i haven't missed it in the slightest. If there are a couple of mobs in fairly close proximity, i just wormhole the group i want to where ever i want'em...then go to town. As long as you plant whatever you're WH'ing far enough away, if you happen to catch part of the other mob group, or even just part of the group you were aiming at...your chances of aggroing the rest are minimal. IMO, WH has been turned into the ultimate pulling tool. Stack'em, rack'em, and smack'em.

Someone say something funny.
That'll do, pig. That'll do.

Awesome help.... thanks for taking the time to post your reply, much appreciated!
Hi again,
I did also wonder how this works with Bosses? I notice that it has a 10mag Imobilize, but only a 3mag Intangible. So I assume a Boss would be stuck in the zone, but could fire out at you still? Does that mean if you went inside the phase, that he could not shoot you even tho he is rooted inside.... So complicated the mind boggles!

I find it has taken the power from being 99% useless, to very good. At what it does.
In fact, it was the entire reason I made a new grav troller, just cause I saw someone else use it..and it looks soooooooo cool.
One slot, and it is flat out the BEST ambush control you can ever get. Got a mob really close to the one your team is struggling to kill? Notice them getting aggro? Sure, you could immob/hold/stun them..which can all miss, get you so much aggro you die, overwhelm the team.
Or you can just slap down DS, which never misses, whild immob everything there, and more importantly..renders them unable to attack you. And now with teh changes, other team mates can lay debuff patches over the shifted mob, turning them into kittens for when you WANT to end the shift. Not to mention crazy scrappers being able to enter and attack, if then wish.

It is automatically assumed.

Enemies have no protection from phase (with few exceptions, mostly trial AVs) so DS will affect all enemies regardless of rank. At the time of my lasting fiddling with DS that included GMs.

You know how a self-phase power means "you can't touch me"? And that has great defensive uses? Well, DS is a "you can't touch anyone" power (unless they enter the sphere of phase).
Try it on turrets and plyons for extra fun.
Lead out escorts dropping a bubble of 'stay-put-and-do-nothing' behind you.
"Sorry Lambda robotic hall monkeys, you no follow!"
"Hey, guys. There's an ambush here. I'll release them once you get here."
"Oh hai glowy guardians! I'm gonna click this while you watch me unable to do anything about it. I'm in your base clicking your stuff!!!"
"Hey, Scrapper, go punch that exploding thing in your own little pocket dimension while I stand out here not taking any of that phased exploding damage."

"Hi again,
Well I have now got Dimension Shift, and have been playing around with it, but I think it may be slightly bugged. Let me explain the peoblem I am having...
If I trap a bunch of mobs in it, then all is good, they get imobilized, and phased no problem. However, the power description also says that mobs who enter the phase will also be imobilized and phased. This is not allways happening. Mobs seem to happily run from the far side of the bubble, through it and out the other side, and start beating on me.
Basically the Imobilize does not seem to allways lockdown mobs that pass thru the field. Having checked, the imobilize I believe is now mag10 and also auto hit, so no idea how the run thru it without being immobilized.
I think they seem to phase when in the bubble, but not get rooted, unless they were inside when it was actually put down.
Any thoughts welcome!"
Hi,
I have just rolled my first Gravity Dom, and I was curious about Dimension Shift since the new changes. My main question is this.... How easy is it to aim? I like the sound of the power alot, and was hoping to mainly use it for soloing and splitting up awkward spawns.
To explain what i mean..... If you had say 4 minions and a Leitenant standing around with a few feet between them, when you aim it, do you get a recticle to see exactly where the intangable zone is, or do you just get a centre point, and have to guess roughly who will fall in and out of the zone? In other words could i easily split maybe the leitenant and 1 minion inside, and the rest outside?
If you could place it exactly, then you could maybe split the spawn, some in some out, and that could be a nice control, tool. I am so hoping this ability is now usful, but just needed a little more info on how accurate you can be with it...
Thanks in advance!
