Looking for a really good Broad Sword/Invul/Body Mastery Build.

Hi there, I now have a few Billion Inf on me & I'm hoping to make my Scapper actually good in a fight & I can't seem to find anything that I'm looking for on the Forums, any suggestions please?

Thank you all for your time.

Here ya go KOIS.

I whipped this up for you real quick.

The highlights:
-Softcapped to all damage types except Psionic with 1 enemy in range of Invincibility. Incarnate soft-capped when Invincibility is fully saturated.
-1.5% away from capped S/L resistance. (73.5% out of a possible 75%)
-Perma Dull Pain, which equals permanently capped HP. (2409)
-Good all around damage output.
-No major weaknesses other than Psionic, but there's not much you can do about that.
-I chose Agility Core Paragon for the Alpha, and I highly recommend going that route. All other Incarnate slots are up to you, as they don't really affect the build any.

Warning: This build will be EXPENSIVE. I normally don't put together builds with this kind of price point, but you said you have the money, so I figured I'd go all out on it.

Also, as it is built here, every enhancement is boosted to +5. That might cost you some real money if you don't have a few hundred Enhancement Boosters laying around.

That's about the best BS/Invuln build I can put together for you. I would feel safe wagering that no one is likely to make it much better than I did here.

As far as how good I believe it will be?

I'll put it this way. Iggy Kamakaze soloed a Master of ITF badge on his Katana/Willpower scrapper.

I think this build will have an even easier time of it.

I'll explain:
-You have more resistance to all the damage types in that TF than Willpower is even capable of achieving.
-With a crowd around you you will be sitting at around 60% defense to every damage type you are going to encounter in it, making it virtually impossible to debuff you beneath the soft-cap.
-You are capable of permanently sitting at scrapper HP cap.
-Your damage output should be high enough to kill the AVs.

Looks pretty nice on first glance.

Three Eradication three Scrapper's Strike is a pretty awesome combo. I bet Scrapper's Strike makes typed-defense Tankers jealous.

What Katana/Willpower has that this does not seem to is serious regeneration. But then, you'd probably go Rebirth on a build like this, and pick up some serious regeneration?

I'd probably be willing to drop Super Jump for Resist Elements, though a lot of people wouldn't be.

You can do better than Red Fortune in Maneuvers, like Luck of the Gambler for 10% regeneration.

I'd love to find room for a Shield Wall +3% resistance.

Anyway, probably some fiddling to be done to personalize, but it looks like a very solid base to work from.

Edit: Hmmm, I wonder what's possible with Dark Melee/Invulnerability with the Scrapper ATO. Maybe I should finish leveling mine.

If you're +5ing everything anyway, you might as well use the Hecatomb: Dam/End rather than the Hecatomb: Damage; you'll still be well past the ED-cap. I'm not sure if there's a reason behind having four of the Crushing Impacts in Disembowel at 35, or if that's an artifact from putting Kinetic Combats there and changing them? And of course, +5ing procs has no effect, so you can save a few boosters there (I'm actually not sure if you even can +5 a proc).

But yeah, ClawsandEffect has the right idea. My BS/Inv/Body has been retired for the last few Issues, but if I were to un-retire him I would use something very much like that. Well, maybe an Armageddon proc in Headsplitter if possible, moving the ATOs to Whirling Sword, displacing the Cleaving Blows? Hm.

Don't suppose it really matters a whole lot. The end reduction would probably come in handy.

Check it again. There's 5 in there for the 5% recharge bonus (since I already used Hecatomb elsewhere)

I +5ed the whole build at once. I know it has no effect on a proc, but I didn't feel like going through and doing them one at a time.

And yeah, I'd probably go Rebirth Radial on this build.

I'd also probably go with Preemptive Interface, since I'm familiar with the character in question. He's a robot, so energy damage would work for theme. Probably go Ion Judgement for the same reason, and Clockwork or Warworks for Lore.

Good call Werner.

Shield Wall in Maneuvers gives the same 10% regen bonus, and lets you fit the 3% Res proc in without dropping the defense totals that much. (to 48.1%)

So, swap that out and you hit resistance cap to S/L with this build.

Right, but four of the five are level 35 enhancements, and the acc/dam/end is level 50. I can't think of any particularly compelling reason to use 35s for four pieces but not the fifth, hence my guess that it was an artifact of starting with KCs, deciding the defense was unnecessary after placing the rest of the build, and swapping them directly to CIs. Extremely minor nitpick, really.

Oh, I didn't realize I had left those at 35. That's what happened alright.

Have I mentioned that it makes me smile when I post a build and Werner can only find nitpicky things wrong with it?

Because it does

I admittedly didn't look very closely, but I bet all I'd do is find a couple more nitpicky things and things I might personally do differently. One reason to think that is the numbers you hit compared to Bass Ackwards' Dark Melee/Invuln, which I kind of consider the benchmark. Both are soft-capped with one in range, but I believe yours by more (it has Enzymes, so I'm relying on memory that it was right at 45%), some of which is surely the split up Scrapper's Strike and +5s, though it's hard to say whether that or Enzymes are more of an advantage. After that, it gets more difficult to compare - Super Jump vs. Resist Elements, Fire Ball vs. Body, but Invuln has its own recovery power so can pick up damage because of an advantage in that regard, while you already have two AoEs, yours has a lot more regeneration, but a little less recharge, and so on.

Where you go with incarnate powers might change things. If you picked up enough endurance recovery, you might be able to go with Fire Ball or Waterspout or something, but I have overkill levels of endurance recovery and I still at least get worried occasionally during no temps no insps incarnate play.

I'd probably do a one Parry chain, and it almost certainly has the recharge for that, so I didn't even check.

I'd want to fit in an Achilles' Heel in Hack, though it's not nearly so important as in Gambler's Cut, so may not be worth the slot.

Yeah, maybe there's something big here that someone can spot, but all I see is fiddly stuff.

Here's an adaptation of what I use on my Kat/Inv. Only change was Gambler's Cut to Hack. I never felt F/C defense was that important so I skipped it in favour of more recharge (=damage). As for Destiny, pick Rebirth.

This isn't a /Body build, but it's the build I'm currently working on for my main. Probably not the most efficient build out there but so far it meets my goals of S/L/E/N/Melee softcap with a single Parry. The Lethal defense is actually above the incarnate softcap allowing for safe elimination of the irritating Victorias and doubling to protect against most defense debuffs. I chose to get Melee softcap instead of F/C because I don't feel pure elemental damage is very common and a good portion of it has the Melee tag anyway. In addition, it serves to protect against some of the hardest hitting psionic attacks because a good number of them are Melee/PBAoE (including Drain Psyche, which can be a lethal debuff in large IDF spawns). Anyway, here's the build. This is still technically a WIP so forgive any horrible errors (and please point them out )
