Blapper Help

Hi guys, was looking around the forum for a nice blapper build, however couldnt find a whole lot for ideas. My initial idea was to have a Dark/Energy. My choice of Dark was for the -acc, hoping to gain more survivability since i would be in melee range. Also saw the suggestion of Sonic blast for Siren's Song. The idea being that you would sleep an entire group, and then run in and pick your enemies off one by one. I have always enjoyed melee powers on blasters, but have never been very successful with it.

Any ideas or suggestions for a build will be greatly appreciated.

If you want Energy blaps, maybe try mixing with Radiation primary? Cosmic Burst comes with a stun effect to stack with the blaps (also to fill attack gaps since blaps are not all that fast to recharge), plus a fast-activating point-blank AoE as long as you're in melee. And then there's Oppressive Gloom in the Soul Mastery APP if you want to get really silly with stuns.

Yea sonic makes it really easy:
1) Sleep group
2) Pick an enemy and stun it
3) Defeat the stunned enemy
4) Go back to 2 until all are defeated

Dark/Em/Mace blapper.

Open with Umbral Torrent to mitigate the Alpha. Follow up with Tenebrous Tentacles to keep the spawn positioned where you want them. Stun mezzers with Total Focus or hold them with Abyssal Gaze (depending on if they are at range or in melee).

If you have Stealth on the to hit debuff from either Umbral Torrent/Tenebrous Tentacles will keep you at the effective defense soft cap vs Smash/Lethal vs +4s and +2s vs energy (+4s vs energy if you keep Tenebrous Tentacles double stacked). Most melee attacks have a S/L component so you should be good there. Against ranged exotic damage you are within 1 small purple inspiration of the soft cap vs ranged damage and should also be good there.

Use life drain as needed to replenish hit points lost from the 5% of all attacks that will still get through your defenses.

Should be both pretty tough and pretty fun.

Caveat - Since your AoE attacks are cones I would not run on more than a 5 player setting until you get familiar with the build and play style.
