Cerulean-Diabolique I23, WAI?

Okay, I thought about bugging this or posting it in suggestions, but I figured I would ask if anyone knew if this was how things were supposed to work or not.

When running the Crulean arc in First Ward there comes a point where you must talk to Diabolique on top of a building. (Is that a spoiler?) When talking to her, she is standing (well, more floating I guess) directly in front of a portal that instantly ports you to Night Ward. I found this out the hard way by clicking next to her on accident. As a low to mid level 20, which is when you run that arc, this is quite a shock.

Now, at first you think, okay, no big deal, there is that shiny new portal system to get you back to a safe area....which is all well and good if you have ever set foot on Primal Earth and can use them. However, if you are a pure Loyalist or Resistance having no intention of meddling in the affairs of the primemates...err primals, these lovely portals are not available to you. This leaves you wandering around looking for weaknesses in the link between the worlds to port back to First Ward. For a level 23 character that can be quite dicey.

Anyway, I though I would ask if that little surprise was WAI before I suggested moving Diabolique so a missed click doesn't auto port you or bringing up a popup to ask if you are sure you want to be ported, or possibly marking the map so Praetorian characters at least have an idea of where to run to find the tunnels where they can port back.

Heh, loved the litte dig there.

To answer your question, I'm sure it's something they just overlooked. Will they fix it, or change it? I suppose if it became a rampant problem, they might. Otherwise, just try to be more careful.

heh, primates...

First, Diabolique and the door were put there first. It's not intended that you should get sent to Night Ward, and where you get put could be betetr than such a long way away from a way back.

Second, the "weaknesses in the veil" are in the same places as they are in First Ward. They're the shadowed/lighted paths along the northern area of the zone. If you know where they are in First Ward then you can find them in Night Ward.

Edit:
It helps if you try not to face the door while talking to her, like from off to her side so that the door isn't taking up the whole area behind her.
