Complete re-install of CoH ave. wait time?

I closed down the launcher, re-started it...
I now see progress % in a circle on the
Char Select/Create Menu...
so it must be working..
What did I learn?
Just because you see a Microsoft Hour glass symbol
does not mean game is loading 
You have to download the complete game (over 4 gigs), there are almost no files which are the same between Going Rogue and the current version. There are a couple recent threads about this.
If you still have access to the old HD, you can copy the files over much faster.

If you're going the download route, try to install into a custom directory like C:\Games\CoX and simply let the launcher install it uninterupted. Yes it will take a long time at first, but it'll get there. Like mentioned, the fastest/easiest way was to actually copy the folder over from the old drive to the new, assuming you didn't simply wipe the existing one.
Use my name in the search thing to find my guides (since my white-ness prevents my cig from being active :-/) if you need help.
Close out of the game. Open the launcher and click on the download button. That will download City faster using their akamai distribution tech, rather than "background download" you get with the game open.

It really depends on your internet speed.
Your character does not have capped defense. Depending on your AT the cap is between 175% - 225%. Your defense is not teal in the combat window, it can go higher. STOP SAYING IT IS CAPPED! The correct term is Soft Cap.
I enjoy playing in Mids. I specialize in Melee Characters, other AT's usually bore me.
I had to install a new Hard Drive, thus have to re-install City of Heroes.

Wow, is it taking forever.....waiting on stage 3 to load, been a couple hours already.
Is this normal?
