Dark Astoria Loading Screen Crash

I tried to warp into Dark Astoria for the first time ever and the loading screen froze at half way and then the game eventually stopped/crashed and gave me "CoH has stopped working" prompt. I logged the toon again after I restarted the game and the same thing happened. I can't even log into this toon anymore cause it keeps happening again and again. Any suggestions? thanks

Have you run a consistency check (repair) on your CoH installation using the NCSoft Launcher?

You should probably contact support, tell them that every time you try to log into that character, you crash, explaining what happened. Even if it's a problem with your installation, they might be able to move you to another zone so you can play until it's resolved.

Will do the consistency check first and if it fixes the problem, I'll post back here. If not, I'm contacting support. Thanks for the quick reply.

EDIT: Consistency check fixed the issue. Thanks for suggesting it (I forgot about being able to do that).

It happened again. After the fix It loaded my toon into Dark Astoria fine. I then did a quick Lambda Trial and after it finished, I clicked exit and it brought me back to the loading screen where it froze again. I did the fix once again and then it worked. It seems that the fix only works for one use then it breaks again. I guess I'll be contacting support but I might try a fresh install first.

I was running the 12.1 drivers for AMD. My video card is a ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5400 Series for a laptop. I then updated to 12.4 drivers (which are supposedly stable) and there sees to be no difference.

EDIT: Finished the fresh install and it seems to of fixed the problem. Hopefully it will stay stable. I'll keep this thread updated if the problem persists and if it does I will be contacting support and then posting the real fix on here.
