Grimm 4-27
Kind of seemed weird that the Grimms were the Boogeyman of the Boogeymen since Nick just seemed to see who was not human. It is not even that great of a power. He is around the Captain all the time and doesn't realize what the Captain is. With the curing of the witch and innate fighting skills, it seems to make more sense why the Grimms are feared.
The first step in being sane is to admit that you are insane.
He only sees what the vessen are when they get anxious or nervous and drop their seeming. Since the Captain knows who Nick is he won't ever be caught off guard. Hence why Nick can not see past the Captain's seeming.

This is a great show, but the whole premise for this episode steps on a classic trope. If you're not going to pay a knee-breaker, why show up and tell him in person? You actually think he's gonna let you walk away from that? Especially in a nice, secluded spot? Either tell 'em on the phone or in a public place with lots of people around.
Granted, he'd still be able to come after you, but you'd at least have a fighting chance.
Also, anyone else think during the credits when it says GK Productions, that it means Gabriel Knight Productions? That's just what my mind immediately thinks when I see that, given the subject matter.

Don't count your weasels before they pop dink!
Well yeah but the beavers don't exactly seem to make the wisest decisions anyway. When they decide to be brave they also get stupid, like showing up at the Grimms house and working on the door without announcing yourself.

It's just plain sloppy writing and a tired trope. Yes, it's "necessary" for the story setup, but in real life, that'd just be putting chlorine in the gene pool.
Amazing episode tonight. I think it's the best so far. I love the beaver characters and it's good to see more of them and learn more of their history. And both Nick and Monroe are terrible liars. Nick is definitely going to have to reveal the truth to Juliette soon.
And with some of those moves Nick made it looks like he does have the Buffy gene. Instinctive martial arts expertise that came with the activation of his Slayer heritage... err I mean Grimm heritage.
