Experience Events We Weren't There For
Given how we'll have a chance to play a personal story as Tyrant/Emporer Cole with his own signature powers to use, this is definitely a probable idea on a technical scale.
Personally I'd love to be able to play arcs that only signature characters and NPCs could do. Being able to relive the life and highlights of Galaxy Girl for instance, from when she got her powers, to the death of Dauntless and her heroic end at the Rikti invasion.
Only problem is the nay-sayers* who will post in a minute who say "OMG I WANT TO PLAY AS MY CHARACTER NO NONONONONO!", as if such tech would totally replace our character customisation when it would be a separate arc at most.
Maybe I want to roleplay when I'm playing a roleplaying game, so I can roleplay when I'm playing a roleplaying game? Roleplayception.
* I was going to use a much, much ruder word but decided against it.

If Masterminds didn't suck, they'd be the most powerful AT in the game.
There's lots of events that occur in the game where our character wasn't present for. One solution that's been used is Ouroboros (namely the TF-contacts there), to throw us in via time travel... but that's sort of cheating, because then our character is there.
But, there's another solution now! The temporary power tray tech (not sure the actual name), which is used by the Panther transformation power. Our character, for the duration of the mission, can have the costume replaced with another, and given a variety of appropriate powers.
I'd love to be able to "experience" when Blue Steel leads a group of PPD to the Dark Astoria gate, trying desperately to push back the never ending tide of monsters pouring out of the gate. I want to be just one of the members of the PPD fighting desperately against those monsters, with their powers, not as an Incarnate.
I wouldn't want it to be used too often (otherwise it'd make our own powers feel kind of pointless), but there's certainly many times where it'd enhance the story, or allow other stories to be told in greater detail.
Thoughts?
We've been saving Paragon City for eight and a half years. It's time to do it one more time.
