New Villian Group Idea
Love the concept, hate the name.
I think it would give some great story lines and missions.
Now just make the leader a super powered villain playing it off that he doesnt have powers (getting rid of other supers means he has less to stop him) and I'll back the idea up 200%.
Hello Malta.
(and several other groups)

The idea may have been done before, though I still see a lot of potential for a VG like this. Which server is it going to be on?
Also, the name could be a little catchier even if I like the reasoning behind it.
I'm pretty sure he means an NPC group (like the Malta group), not a SG.

Well that's disappointing! All those times I fought Malta I never realized they were anything more than mercenaries. They even have a shadowy council in charge. Still I wish they were closer to my idea. Maybe a retooling of the group like what was done to the 5th Column. Oh well. I hate it when my completely original ideas are stolen before I've had a chance to think of them

This Villian group would be based on an irrational fear of all of the super-powered individuals running around.
Their main fear lies in the idea that someday a powerful mutant, magic-user, or science-powered being will someday rise up in a Tyrant-esque fashion and enslave humanity as with the Preatorians.
You see, ever since Statesman died several important non-powered individuals have been fearful that there was no more shining leader and inspiration to keep the other heroes in line. They got together to form the Secret Assembly who then went on to create the Sons of the Meek.
The name is a reference to the line in the Bible: "the meek shall inherit the Earth". It kind of evokes a sense of quasi-religious zealots.
The Sons of the Meek are powered only naturally and technologically but they have no problem fighting natural and tech heroes who support mutant, magic, and science origin beings.
Obviously they hate villians too, who are already openly hostile to normal people with their abilities.
Their main concern is the Well of the Furies that's making these already powerful heroes and villians even stronger. They hate and fear Incarnates most of all. So maybe one of the missions is protecting the Well from them.
Most of the other missions will involve them trying to somehow destroy a large number of super-powered beings or turning the general populace against them in a "DC's Glorious Godfrey/ Marvel Civil War" type of way, y'know, stirring up paranoid mass hysteria against "super-powered freaks"
