Just started a inv/sj tank and was wondering if anyone had any ideas on the best way to go with him.

if u can post a build we can tell what u need to improve it or give you some ideas to help u. Other then that I would say look at the tanker guides to help you. Mainly because we have no idea what u r looking for in it. Just remember that a inv tank well go with positional def so you want to try to get your s/l/en/neg close to sc as u can, and do not forget the rule of 5.

Direction to go on a tank? Forward!

Er I mean...

For an invulnerable tank, please read Call Me Awesome's two Invulnerability tank guides in the tank guides section above. And yes, focus on "Typed" defenses, not positional. Typed goes with Invincibility's strengths.

Download Mid's Hero planner from here: www.cohplanner.com and play with it to see what you come up with. Bring what you've created and post it back here and we'll take a look see.

Important things to remember are the Law of 5 when it comes to set bonuses, and Enhancement Diversification which is more commonly known as ED.

The Law of 5 means that no more then 5 of the same type of Invention Origin Enhancement Set bonus will work for a character at any one time. For example; 5@ 5% recharge bonuses. If you had a 6th 5% recharge set bonus, it wouldn't add any more recharge then the previous 5 as the game wouldn't recognize it. You can however have 5@5% and 5@7.5% recharge set bonuses, etc.

Enhancement Diversification means that the more enhancements of one type, say defense, or endurance reduction, the less effective they become at improving that category. So general thought process is any more then 3 of one type (ie. end reduction) is wasting that slot as it provides a very miniscule improvement. So it's not worth 4 slotting Stamina with just End Mods, or Hasten with 4 recharges. Sometimes it's worth it for set bonuses, but generally it isn't worth the extra slots.
