Question about Poison Trap and Hover

Hi.

I'm interested in making a fire/poison corruptor, I prefer a hover blasting kind of playstyle and it occured to me that maybe Poison Trap only works while on the ground, like Footstomp and other powers.

I tried asking in game but got conflicting answers so I'm asking here.

Does Poison trap in the corruptor version of /poison work while hovering?

Unless it's been changed recently, Poison Trap requires you to actively be on the ground (hovering right above the surface doesn't cut it).

We've been saving Paragon City for eight and a half years. It's time to do it one more time.

I would not be surprised, I remembered that I got an old /traps corruptor though and she could put the trap down while using a jetpack. When trying it up in the air it said "Target in Air" but if she swooped down she could put the trap down. So now I'm not sure.
