Where is CoH2 when you have needed it for 7-8 years?
(Edit: Yes, we needed CoH2 when CoH launched because they didn't even make it good enough to start with. Every patch may have added things, but it led to this mess.)
Confirming the same issue with Sister Solaris.
-I was queued for Lambda/BAF/Keyes
-BAF came up while I was in SS's last mission via Flashback
-I accepted BAF (16 people in trial)
-Instead of loading into BAF, I was ejected from my mission and my flashback ended
-I was unable to rejoin the LFG queue
-I logged to character select, returned to the same character, had option to rejoin last trial
-When clicking option to join last trial, the server was unable to locate the trial map
-When I attempted to use the LFG queue with willingness to join an active trial, the server appeared unable to locate an active trial
Speculation: using the LFG interface while flashing back may be able to grief people starting open trials, as it appears that the trial I had attempted to join may have been completely obliterated.

They intetionally changed the system so you could queue while doing instances and such, instead of being stuck standing under Atlas. Flashbacks aren't real Task Forces, they just use a somewhat similar mechanic... and even then, if you want to queue while you're in a TF... that you're perogative.
I don't see why the Devs need to prevent people from queueing up while they're on a "TF". It "drops" the TF because you quit it when you joined a different TF. You do realize that TFs are dropped when you... drop it?

Same issue happened to me yesterday.
-On Ouro flashback for Heather Townshend's arc
-Queued up for Lambda trial while in DA
-Entered mission 3
-Nearly completed mission 3 when the window popped up asking me to join (#15 of 16)
-I clicked the final glowie to complete the mission, and it completed
-While still in the completed mission, I clicked Yes to join the Lambda
-I was immediately ejected from the mission
-Out in the DA zone, the LFG window now said that the event was waiting to start (I waited for about 2 minutes, but nothing changed)
-I relogged, hoping that it was a temporary problem and that I could rejoin last event
-I did get the option to rejoin, but it failed, saying that the event could not be found
-I was no longer in the Ouro flashback, all progress had been lost
Over a week ago, I was able to successfully join a trial while on a flashback of the same arc. Unfortunately I don't recall the exact circumstances, to see what might have allowed it to work that time but not this one. During that previous and apparently successful "Flashback mission 1 -> Mission 2 -> iTrial -> Mission 2 -> 3 -> 4" attempt, I was drawn into the trial from within the incomplete mission 2. My progress on the mission was lost (as expected - WAI), but I remained in flashback mode after the trial ended and I was able to finish the remaining missions.
I should not be shocked at this. Really I shouldn't. The LFG tool is so crap that something like this is just obvious.
I was doing Heather's arc just now, in an Oro flashback. Just cause I was curious, I thought I would join the Q as well..see what happened. I didnt actually think it would let me..but it did, no worries.
Then, during the last mission in the arc, a MoM starts and the join prompt pops up! Wow, guess it does work. Shame on me for having no faith huh. So I click join, countdown, loading screen.
Loading screen stops midway and I get booted back out into DA alone..and my mission has not only reset it has STOPPED my oro tf! Genius, I love the lfg tool. Should be renamed as Looking for Grief, since that is all anyone seems to get trying to use the POS.
