Any plan to make LFG more useful?

My whole point in saying LFG isn't working is that the way people find teams has not changed a bit from the way people found teams before LFG. In fact, it's been a step BACK because people have largely stopped using the "Find Members" list, a much more helpful tool.

Let's go ahead and ignore the fact that LFG does a whiz-bang job of forming MINIMAL teams when used as designed. Very few players want to start any kind of TF/SF or Trial with a minimal team. Can we agree on that? So ...

BEFORE LFG:

1. The leader would advertise in /broadcast or a global channel that a team was forming and looking for more members.

2. The leader would individually invite each member to join the team.

3. All members had to gather in the same zone before the TF/SF or trial could be started.

AFTER LFG:

All of the above, except now there is the additional step of joining the queue, waiting for the queue to do whatever it does, then waiting for all members to accept the queue prompt.

So really, LFG has added nothing but extra steps and extra frustration.

And still you contend that it's working as intended? They intentionally implemented a system that makes starting a TF demonstrably more difficult than it used to be? Forgive me, but I have my doubts.

Please do let me know if there's something about using LFG I'm not aware of ... something that is actually different from the way teams were formed in the olden days. Unless you can do that, I'd go so far as to say they should remove the LFG queue altogether, as in practice it accomplishes absolutely nothing.

I'm hoping so. In my mind, the ease of getting on a team and participating in the community is part of the game's first impressions. I would think that a good showing would lead to better player retention and then maybe a few purchases / subscriptions. If they believe that, then there's plenty of motivation to keep going with it.

Left in its current form, I'd tend to agree. But I haven't found any indication yet that the devs are abandoning the development of the LFG tool.

What do you think keeps causing my sub to lapse over the last year? Exactly this.

What keeps causing me to leave? I'll log on, a character that I'm wanting to work on, that I love the concept for and enjoy and... I'm stuck soloing. The people I knew are all long since gone from the game, so I can't just team with them (unless I plan on switching MMOs...). I then only have two options: Solo or PuG. As much as people diss puging, it still easily trumps soloing from my point of view. Sadly, forming a pug has become progressively harder and harder, especially now with freedom.

All the global channels I've been in for years have largely died (still a good number of players in them, but no one ever uses it to form things, or just talk). People only ever use /help, which is utter trash. It's just full of noise- people talking about random things nonstop, and full of spam (not RMT spam, just random messages people throw in).

At this point, I'm thinking there's going to be a pretty good probability that I won't be renewing my sub at the end of the month (and also not playing as a preem), simply because teaming is a pain. I don't want to spend forever trying to scape together a team, or be stuck grinding DFB, or half-***** farm. The shame is that I'm loving playing the new stuff, and still want to do the First Ward content which I didn't finish before, along with all the new iTrials, plus leveling my StJ/EA Stalker (the first stalker since my old, pre-ET nerf EM/Nin that felt like it could do serious damage... and it makes even that pale in comparison, while not feeling like an old Defiance 1.0 blaster in the survivability department).
