I'd agree with this. Slotting the whole set into Fearsome means the -ToHit isn't maxed out and you're also likely giving them a chance to fire back at you. HoD is probably a better option overall since there'll be no proc retaliation and a longer Stun is more useful than a longer Fear.

I've been sitting on my ATOs trying to decide between the two. I think this may have broken the tie for me. Thanks Carni!

Hang on though, as Vimes_NA says because it is based off recharge it could be utterly mad in Shadow Field given its very long recharge.

Does anyone know if that formula works off base recharge or the recharge when the power is initially cast or what? It's so bloody vague.

This new proc formula for Market procs is bloody obtuse. How do they work in things like Creepers or Gases or pets? Is the recharge the recharge of the power or the recharge of the pets attacks in each case?

It seems there's a very harsh penalty for placing ATOs in an aoe power, and for persistent effects the rate at which the proc is checked is counted as its cooldown (so it would be treated like having a 10s cooldown). Although the calculations are still being worked out, at this point shadow field isn't looking as promising as I had hoped. The only way to know for sure atm though is for somebody to test it....

I have a Market Lockdown in the Time bubble actually. I'll run some 8 man AE tests later on and see what sort of cast & proc rate I get.

It seemed pretty decent last night on a team but I wasn't measuring (and someone else could have had them too).

Okay I'm not sure if I'm just not observant or if the patch changed how the proc worked but I distinctly recall shadow field not proccing all that often on double exp weekend, whereas today it not only procs WotC on almost the entire spawn upon cast, it hits most of them twice since it has two initial hold components. Or, perhaps the superior version really is that superior? Suffice to say, that one proc in shadow field does amazing things.
