Stacking Defense question
Invincibility gives TYPED defense against Smashing, Lethal, Energy, Neg Energy, Fire, and Cold damage. It does NOT give positional defense.
As such, the Lethal part will stack with the lethal part of Guarded Spin, but the melee defense will likely get lost.
The game checks your highest Defense against a given attack, and uses only that value to see if you block it. So if you've got 20% Lethal Defense, 15% Fire Defense, and 10% Melee Defense, and get attacked by a Fire/Lethal/Melee attack, you'll use only the 20% Lethal Defense value.
HOWEVER, if you get attacked by a Smashing/Energy/Melee attack, then you'd use the 10% Melee value, so it can be of some use.

Of course, it is still a nice cone attack, so even if it's secondary effects are "wasted", it's still a good power.

I was thinking about making a Staff/Invulnerable Tanker, and I have a question I need help with.
Invincibility says it provides Defense against all but Psi
Guarded spin says it provided Defense against Melee and Lethal.
Do they stack in regards to Melle and Lethal?
Or is Guarded spin useless if you have Invincibility?
