Take a look at my shield/fire build?
Datachunk? What are your goals for the build? At a glance, I wouldn't skip True Grit or Phalanx Fighting.
edit to add: the taunt set will work in combustion, just not sure why you'd want to... someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but gauntlet is not re-applied per DoT tick.
First off I would of put eradicate in combustion instead of the taunt IOs that u have to give me more HP. You don not need the KB protection in deflection since you have activate defense, which you should take lot sooner then you did. Take it as soon as u get it since it is your mez/KB protection. Like EJI said the 2 powers you skipped I would not either since they do help out alot, true grit willl help with your HP, and Phalanx Fighting will help your def and it is a great power that cost you no end to use since it is always active.
I looked at your build and made a couple changes. Took out 2 powers, combustion and One with the shield, and added True Grit and Phalanx Fighting. With these adjustments, I've increased you HP, damage resistance, recharge and regeneration, while decreasing you endurance used. IMO One with the Shield is a nice o'crap button, but regular missions and long fights it is useless because of the crash.
Positional defense is over soft cap, without any teammates around you, and an orange every now and again, you should have no issues.
Ribosome's are expensive, but well worth it. Join some Hami Raids/STF's, they make it cheaper to get them.

I've been away from the game for a long time and I've also never played a tank before so I could use some advice. Some caveats and questions:
- I know spring attack is probably not the best power choice but it's there for theme; same with the fire sword powers
- this isn't a leveling build - it's just ordered this way so I could get the slots right
- does the taunt set even work in Combustion or is that a mids mistake?
- do DoTs apply gauntlet with each tick?
