Dark/ doms

I was thinking about messing with the new Dark Control set in PvP whenever i22 goes live. Thematically, I'd like to pair it with thorns but I have no experience with it in a PvP setting. Does that sound like a viable combo, or does NRG look like the big winner?

The only good dom is /fire or /dark

Yeah, I could definitely see the case for /fire, but /dark hasn't even come out yet. What do you think gives it the edge?

Dark Blast, Gloom, Life Drain, and Gather Shadows (basically PB with +dmg) on a Dom will be nasty.

The dark hold seems to busted at 5,96 base. The pbaoe stun should be easy to kite.
The confuse is broken and doesnt have a value in pvp.
Not sure about how the pets work out since the haunts seems quite slow and only have melee.
Dark assault looks nice but fire will probably still do more damage thanks to blaze.
Midnight graps seems to do decent damage and while its melee the animation is very good making it easy to jump cancel.

Fire also Embrace of Flame which is a lot more bonus damage then Gather Shadows.

I am trying to decide between a Dark/Fire and Dark/Dark dom for my new I22 character, and I must say I am TICKED to hear that the CCs are in dark/ are busted. I guess I'll have to keep my fingers crossed for a fix, but thanks for the info!

What kind of DPA does midnight do with proper jump canceling? It looks bad on paper but I admit, animation glitching isn't something I've ever seen in this game (perhaps because I just don't play at a high enough level).
