Stone/Dark Tanker

I've been looking around for some Stone/Dark Tank posts, but the ones I'm finding are Dark/Stone.

I wanted to know how viable the build is. Before IO sets. Before Incarnate options. Can I effectively run a level 50 Dark/Stone Tank without wheezing for Endurance, or is there a better option?

I'm hoping to become "That Guy" who just runs around and tanks everything like a good little rubble.

Here is my dark/stone brute build that is still viable when switched over to a tank...would need to start Villain or switch to villain for the patron power but this toon is a monster on STF and LRSF

Thank you all for your input. I didn't want to play a toon to 47, only to realize he wasn't viable to begin with.

Stone/Dark doesn't synergize all that well, but it can still be a good tank.

I have a Stone/Dark over on Virtue. He's not one of those "OMGWTFUGOTTANKED" tanks. But he's damn tough and doesn't require much in the way of support.

I beg to differ. Dark Melee brings to the table everything Stone (or any Tank, really) needs outside of recharge and run speed, which no Tanker secondary can give you. A heal, an endurance recovery, a damage buff, and ToHit Debuffs. I would call that synergy in the best form.

Creative use of IO's and Incarnate slots (particularly Alpha, but Destiny and Lore help too, in dire emergencies), and Stone/Dark can be the most survivable tank I have ever seen.

Yes, but it does it by sacrificing even more of the stoner's damage output, making it take even LONGER to kill stuff.

Sure, for most regular content you just taunt, let them come in and go get a sandwich. When you come back, they should be dead-ish. But there's only so many sandwich breaks most people can stand during a play session.
