Build Help on Demon/Sonic :)
I got to ask as to why you didn't take the T9 of Sonic (Liquefy). Liquefy is -ToHit -Def and KD. Cardiac (the End redux one if my sleepiness made me misspell that) would allow for more EndReco Car 0.8Vs Agi 0.3. Only losing aobut1%-2% Def.
I have yet to toy with a Demon/Sonic but i know demons and some of the Sonic powers (old toon long gone that was Sonic/Sonic).
Demons have a T3 "Control" Pet Its slows help greatly. Slows to me is like 'Fake Def' for weaker mobs that don't Res Slows (Due to the fact that normally that would hit me 2 times in 5s its dropped to about 1 every 5s).
May try my hand at a 'better' build when i wake up. So try to be clear as to what your'e wanting form a build. Ex: Cap Res with Soft Cap with Rech or Just Cap Res with Rech or High Res with Soft Cap no extra Rech. etc. Don't forget to say what Travel you'll be wanting/using.
Atm due to me sleepy i can tell you want a Demon/Sonic/Mako with AoEs.

I wasn't too sure about Liquefy, due to its rather long cooldown, but I could drop vengeance(and lose a LoTG) to pick it up, but there isn't a lot of slot room.
The goal was to try and soft cap defenses and plenty of res, but that doesn't look possible, at least not while keeping the ability to attack, which is why I like the twin AoEs from Mako. Gives the feeling I'm actually participating
Last Message before bed for real this time >.>
If you drop Corruption for Crack Whip for a 3rd AoE you'll boost your Dmg output a bit in 2 ways, the -9% Res to foes in Front of you and higher base Dmg. Unless you're using Corruption as a Pulling ST 80Foot power.
I'll get back to ya and see what i can do to help, if at all. My Playstyle may not be anywhere close to yours but i will try at least to give tips and hints on how to make your build just a tad better for now till you learn how you really want it and know the in and outs of most IO Sets even the "Trash" Ones as My SG mate claims a few to be that i use and still rock the missions like no tomorrow.

Ok i made a build that dropped a bit of Res and some Def.
This build is a TankerMind. To me TankerMinds just tank for there pets to live via Provoke/Challenge, This Allows for a bit more Dmg Output since pets are not being knocked around.
What Incarnate's to fit.
Alpha: Cardiac Core. Allows for Re-summoning/Re-Upgrading/Attacking/Etc
Judgement: Up to you.
Interface: Diamagentic Core Flawless. 100% -Tohit Proc for pets, with a Chance(50%) for -Regen.
Lore: Up to you.
Destiny: Rebirth Radial. Burst Heal Plus Regen.
Way to attack.
Open with Liquefy before a mob knows you're there. While there Bouncing and losing there ToHit your pets will agro onto the one that got a shot off. Run in with you pets after you fire a AoE or two. Then Porvoke to grab a few of them towards you and let Bodyguard(DefMode/Follow) mode show how well a MM can live, Make sure to stay near pets for it to work, its range is about 20Feet. Then pick off whats alive left.
A well played TankerMind and be a Beast. My Bots/Dark can go 1/8 with Bosses just for fun and without Lore Pets tagging along, Has the AntiMez Destiny since Heals and Buffs are covered. But all Tanker Minds won't be able to solo Huge mobs like a Dark Type. So key thing to MasterMinds is to know your Pets and Support Set. My Demon/Poison dose fine at 1/4.

As i said before you may or may not like a build with my Play style. I tend to 'Tank' with my Bots/Dark.
So feel free to change what you don't like and try to have fun with your Demon/Sonic.
I'm not a type of guy to say what you 'HAVE' to do.
Look over see what you like and don't like and mold it to something you can make work.
So at the end i hope you find what you like to play and is having fun.

I built a demons/sonic on a dead rockstar theme more than particular peak performance. I told myself, this will probably be somewhat a chore getting to level 32.
I built this mastermind at the same time I built my robots/time mastermind. Early levels, the sonic was FAR more survivable than the time mastermind. Now both characters are rock solid. The time mastermind became much much more capable once farsight was achieved.
I haven't decided on my patron for these two masterminds. Chill mastery and Scorpion shield are both the go to sets for defensive bonuses. Chill mastery has flash freeze in which you can put another recharge set bonus. The AoE sleep works well on my Demons/Thermal. I discovered that all the pets tend to lead off with a single target attack at first aggro; this means whichever target I smack first with my mastermind, AND the sleep does not affect, gets very, very, mangled/roasted while his partners slumber unawares.
As a counterpoint, on the scorpion patron power, web envelope, it's simple, effective, while you don't have to line up a cone with other patrons. I also very much like oppressive gloom, which is a stun and can take stupefy for additional recharge set bonus. The stun isn't defense per se, but stunned targets deliver 0/100 attacks, and the damage inflicted is a big zero, too.

HelinCarnate:OMG it is so terrible. I have the option to take 3 more powers but no additional slots. Boo F'ing hoo.
Been messing around with the build, but then it just dawned on me. Just asking can you afford this build ? With about 3 of the IOs you have slotted its at about 6 billion.
My second thought is the recharge you have going what is the need for it ? I don't think you need all that recharge.
Your pets should be slotted. Hell on earth I am thinking should be 4 slotted with all the pet unique IOs. At least the resistance.
Unfortunately Mids does not show the pet buff numbers your getting. But after looking at the resistance numbers adding in the pet bonuses your over the smash and lethal resistance cap so I think you can lower those numbers by 10% and free up a slot or two.
Here is a link of the numbers I worked up:http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showp...93&postcount=5
Roughly if you start looking Energy and Negative will be your issues along with the pets since your pets get no buffs and neither do you for those 2 damage types but just about everything else is 50 or above. Of course slotting those resistance IOs for the pets will put them in about the same ball park as you resistance wise for Energy and Negative.
I think Challenge is over kill with Provoke.
I would maybe consider getting higher range defense since most fights start off at range. I believe Range defense also increases your energy defense. So now your only issue will be Negative energy.
I would consider maybe If you could get oppressive gloom to tie up the minions. Of course the Dark Mastery resistance shield also have negative resistance buff which will help out as well.
And I would consider Cardiac for Alpha.
Of course if you cannot afford the billions the numbers will change.

I have 2 of the 4 in Hell on Earth. The smart thing would be to move the 3rd on from Demonlings to it and complete the blood mandate set for the extra ranged defense. I didn't think about that. The 4th one is in Demon Prince with the whole set for melee defense.
On my build the pets get +23% resist(all but psi) from Sonic Siphon/Barrier and then everyone gets +14% more from Sonic Dispersion. Which combined with the special IOs will give the pets +57% vs everything but psionic. The Lt. Demons also provide a resistance buff but its to S/L, Fire, Cold, and Toxic.
On the defense side, 2 special IOs + Maneuvers will give them +14% defense to everything. That isn't a ton, but there aren't any other ways to buff it that I know of.
For personal defenses, my last build has 41.1% AoE, 36.1% Ranged, 26.1% Melee. The slot shift from somewhere to hell on earth would grant an additional 3.75% ranged. I just have to find the slot.
I prefer the Leviathan Pool over Dark, because it gives me those 2 very nice AoE attacks. I figure having 3 lovely AoE attacks that can almost cycle will be a great way to keep mobs nice and angry at me.
I'm not sure I can quite get everything I want out of the Demons/Sonic. I have been considering a Thugs/Storm for all the burnout offensive fun that could be.

Okay This is what I came up with, but before I start I want to simply comment on your last build.
Simply put your last build is totally and completely impossible even with cardiac. So regardless of how nice numerically it might be, it is completely useless. You have zero endurance and you don't have enough blue inspirations in your tray to maintain this build. I guess you would have to buy that extra large tray but even then it will not work.
This is a rough build of the direction I am thinking based on your funding and I will go over the concept.
Resistance wise for your pets between the 2 bubbles and the 1 AOE bubble your at 43% resistance to all but psi. Your Pet Unique IOs give you another 20% to all for your pets. So your at 63% resistance to all but psi which is only 20%. Your pet buffs to resistance will cap everything out for you pets except for Energy and Negative which the pets do not give out buffs for. So your pets will be at 60% for those 2. Again nothing to complain about.
Resistance for you..
Smash, Lethal and Cold are way over the cap.
Fire 68%, Cold 55%, Energy 29%, Neg 61%.
Remember your weakness was that the pets were not giving you any Energy and Negative resistance numbers.
What I did was increased your Range Defense which in turn increases your Energy defense. So now with a purple inspiration you will be at a better standing then before.
Oppressive Gloom is pretty much going to lock down all the minions so it gives you some room to contend with the bosses. If you have never used Oppressive Gloom I would use your second or third build to just test it out. But be aware going up against level 1 mobs with OG on will give you massive damage, like 15 a tick. Again even con mobs I am noticing 1 point of damage with all the pets out and a bit more without the pets.
I would try to get range cap or a bit higher If I could.
Your biggest issue over all is endurance. As I mentioned you could have the greatest build but if you can't even get it off the ground its worthless to you.
You will definitely need cardiac.
Game play.
Basic Provoke, Soul Tentacle, walk in to get OG working. Mix your attack and hold to keep bosses on you. Just attack the bosses and have the splash damage kill the minions.

So I decided to venture into the world of Masterminds.
I know that Demon/Sonic is not a popular choice, but it seems like the buffs to resistance would just be amazing. Not to mention the LTs that provide a resistance bonus as well. Seems like a pretty win/win situation.
I was trying to soft cap defenses, but couldn't seem to make it work. I was also trying to keep the recharge down.
I also enjoy the idea of using Leviathan Mastery's twin AoEs as a means of being able to attack instead of just watching the show.
Any help on becoming more defensive, or just overall better would be appreciated. I was also considering some other combinations(Namely Thugs/Storm, but that one felt like pure offensive with poor defense).
Thanks in advance
