Mez Protection for WS?

Hi, everyone. I just was working on my pure human build and was wondering what are some good ways for mez protection at lower levels.

At lower levels, no, you're not going to get much mez protection for a human-only build.

The only thing you can hope for is to try and mez the mezzers before they mez you with your control powers.

I always recommend playing at low levels as a tri-former or at least as a bi-former with Dwarf form because of the mez issue, unless you're going for a true challenge or trying to get the badge for time held.

Now, once you reach Incarnate level, mezzing won't be a problem.

Make sure you carry plenty of break frees!

None of the above, actually. The only one that would actually offer any protection would be Acrobatics (unless you count immob protection in CJ, but Shadow Cloak offers nearly as much). Dechs goes into a number of good tactics for dealing with mez in his guide and I heartily endorse it as it's not only sound advice but well-written as well.

Tactics gives minor confuse protection as well as confuse and fear resistance. It can be quite helpful on baf or UG.

Good point, I'm still not used to thinking about confuse as it's so rare in most of the regular game, but that's quite correct. I actually run Tactics on one of my badge characters who recently did a UGT and I should have remembered this. Good catch, mea culpa.

Only reason I know this is it has been a literal lifesaver on my /fire armor characters in the UG. I try to use it as both a set mule and for that particular circumstance, but otherwise I gotsta have my clarion.
