I always wanted a Phone Booth change emote! When activated a phone booth appears that your toon steps into and then steps out of in the new costume.
As for the Darkness theme, perhaps your toon steps into a shadow then steps out in the new costume. (Then the same animation could be used for my phone booth! Heh heh heh.)
I have used [Shadowy Presence] on my dark/dark defender as a costume change emote. It blacks out your character model, surrounding you with a shadow blot.

Since there are 3 powersets coming out with a darkness theme why not make a dark themed costume change emote. Here is my idea:
When this new emote is triggered the character holds there arms out to the side similar to a scarecrow and then dozens of ravens land on them covering them. They stay for about a second and then all take off all at once revealing the costume change.
