TPN Campus Incarnate Trial: Monday 1/16

I've noticed that not very many people seem to be interested in running TPN, an that when I ask about interest, I get a reaction that I would expect if I asked to shower Paragon City in a hail of raisins or something equally outlandish. Figured I'd post and see if there were enough people interested to run a TPN at 7:30PM Eastern on Monday, 16th January. As I understand it, the predominant strategy is to ignore telepathists and blitz terminals during the last phases, but I'd be interested in hearing how people have succeeded in the past.

So: Monday, January 16
7:30 PM EST

If you end up running this more than once, I may try to get in on it, but cannot make that start time. Good luck!

I run a TPN usually at least once a day. We just did a Master run about 2 hours ago, was awesome.

I will try to join yours if I am around

Edit: I do a completely different strategy. Will definite try it however you like, but be aware you cannot get a Masters that way. Sigh I really need to finish my guide, but I am so lazy about it

What time does yours usually run, MP? I've been on some other trial runs with you, but never a TPN. And yes, the guide would be a tremendous help, as I am, how do the kids put it these days, a noob sausage.

Re: MoTPN: Last time we tried for that, we were sunk because [people had no idea which building to enter when. Given that experience, I'll just take a successful complete at this point.

I may join in if I'm about. Coordination is the main thing again. You want a good group taking care of Mael and the telepathists, and the building group needs to be focused as well. MP is good with coordinating the building stuff, so she should really finish her guide. *hint, hint*

Pretty much all of the "other" servers run it rush style, we can try it however, Selpharia wants, why not!

And as for the guide... well I do take bribes!

But those other servers won't get all the badges!

A MP style TPN is usually pretty smooth....

Just wanted to thank and congratulate everyone who participated in tonight's TPN. I really appreciate people going out on a limb with a method that they hadn't tried before. While it's not as smooth or fast as the MoTPN style, I could definitely see it being easier for a PuG to complete on a regular basis, because it's such a simplistic method in line with the run and smash style of the rest of the game. The trial was surprisingly fun, although that may just be because I never got repeatedly killed by civilians with rocks. I'm still not sure exactly how Marked for Death is negated, but we seemed to just power through anyway, which could be said for the whole approach to the trial.

Thanks for running this. It was interesting to see this method. I personally did not care for it, but then I like strategy and challenge. It would definitely work for PUG style raids.

And as for Marked for Death... just break line of sight.

Ah, so the brute force method is why people complain about the civilians. Having always done it via the MP method[TM], the civilians never appeared to be anything more than a deterrent to using AoEs.
