If someone wants to take alternate Saturdays to lead either redside or blueside raids, that'd be awesome!
The Hami Raid on February 4th will be canceled because I plan on joining Stone's event, which you can read more about here. On February 11th, raids will resume, and I'm hoping to see as many folks bring nukes as are able to-I'd like to try just blitzing the heck out of the Hamidon and seeing how fast we can take it out!

From experience: if the aggro from the Yellow Mitos isn't managed while the main group attacks Hamidon it is highly likely that the support characters will be overcome by the splash damage from the Yellow Mitos, and the sturdier characters will fall very soon after.
Even at capped 75% damage resistance (85% for Khelds, and 90% for tanks/brutes) by using an EoE, a player would still have to contend with damage coming from multiple sources which can quickly eat away at HP, knockback and stuns from the yellow mitos ranged aoe attack, plus other nasty status effects from the green and blue mitos.
You could be left with a league wipe, no warheads for buffs/debuffs, and multiple mito blooms to contend with if the blitz strategy fails to defeat Hami on the first try. This situation is not impossible to overcome, but it is still very daunting and time consuming.

I think there's a miscommunication here, and that's my fault for not being clear: we're not going to be running for a blitz raid on Feb.11th; it's something we're working towards doing eventually.
If people will start bringing nukes more regularly, that would help immensely, since recently I'm the only one who's been bringing them.
A few of the PERC reps from other servers may show up at upcoming raids to participate/lead as well, so we may be getting to see a few other strategies!

Regrettably, I'm going to have to cancel the Hamidon raids for the time being. I've stopped enjoying running them, and when something in the game feels like work, it's a good sign that I should be doing something else. Sorry to disappoint, all - maybe someone else will pick up where I left off.

Hey all! I've been running the Hamidon Raids every other week since November, and I figured it was about time I actually put it up on the forums so people would stop asking me when the Hamidon Raids are.
There will be one today, Saturday January 14th, forming up at 3 pm PST/6 pm EST. Please bring any character you like as long as they are over level 45 (or you won't be able to get into the Hive). If you can bring Warburg nukes, that's great! If you can't, well, that's fine too!
There will be a killshot prize for the lucky person who manages to get the last hit in on Hamidon this week. One lucky winner will receive a 500 million influence prize! If you need easy inf and you're feeling lucky, this is the way to go! Depending on how well it goes over, I may continue doing this for future raids.
