Can you still refer a friend?

I have two premium accounts I am kind of interested in making VIP for a basic "trial" run of CoH...again...lol.

Do I have to be VIP on one of the accounts in order to refer the other?

Yes, you must be a VIP to refer a friend. Please note that in order to refer a friend to work, you will have to:

a) sub Account 1 in order to refer a friend (requires money)
b) refer Account 2 from Account 1
c) sub Account 2 through referral (requires money)

...which leads to Account 1 getting another month of sub.

Use serial from unused game edition on account 2

It requires setting up a subscription to complete the referral: a month's payment (or multiple months) or a time card or a game card. Retail codes don't count as a subscription for the referral.

After looking again, I found out they changed the deal for refer-a-friend. It was 'each party gets 500pts' but now it's 'referer gets 30 days and referee gets 500pts'. Interesting.
