Critique my TW/EA build please

I've only leveled this toon to 35 so far, but it's been great fun so I decided to fiddle around in Mids and see what I could achieve at 50+

Note that I do have Defensive Sweep at the moment, but I can already see a diminished need for it, and zero need once I get the majority of my positionals soft-capped.

Thoughts / comments?

I just got a TW/EA Brute to 28. Loving it. Only a few thoughts....

A lot of toggles on an already End heavy set.

Will the Res/Def in Tough work if it is not toggled on? If not, it'll want some endred.

I'm going a different route for now that relies on Defensive Sweep more heavily and just boosting my totals from sets. Most of my bonuses so far are going to be Acc and bolstering the typed defenses I already have and not boslstering the positional ones. I think the positional defense add-on from the set bonuses is an interesting way to do it tho.

Is Weave really worth it for all the power choices/Endsuckage/Toggles?

Lemme know how it turns out.

Thanks

-Doc

First off, thank you for being the first person to actually reply, after nearly 100 views!

While it is true that TW is end heavy, I already have Energize and Energy Drain up fairly quickly - eventually Energize will be ~2 secs from perma - and between the two I haven't needed to horde blue insps the way I did at earlier levels. When the build gets near completion I *should* have over 2 end/sec NET endurance recovery with all toggles besides FA running. I consider that sufficient for normal play. With Energize up, that increases to 2.5 end/sec - which IMO is more than enough!

The DEF bonus part is a global effect that works as long as I don't exemp more than 3 levels below the IO's level... so Tough should never be toggled on.

I still have Defensive Sweep myself, as I don't want to respec out of it until I am damn sure I can get by without. Personally, I went for soft-capping my typed defenses AND massive recharge (to get Energize as close to perma as I could without sacrificing too much) - anywhere you see positional defense bonuses in my build they were only chosen to get the lesser typed defense bonus that comes with it.

Yes! Without the 5+% defense it adds I wouldn't be able to hit the softcap as easily. Plus, Tough gives me a place to mule the Steadfast without adversely impacting the amount of resists I get from EA's two passive resist powers.

I shall! Please, you do the same!

I often slot tough up for the extra S/L Res, but it you can't spare the slots you can use it as a mule.

Eith EnA you shouldn't need Defensive Sweep in the later levels, except as another AoE. In earlier levels when your exemplared down it'll still be useful. DS really shines on sets without defense like Elec, Fire and Dark, IMO.
