An option to turn off Floating Text
signed.
Over the past few years all the floating text has gotten out of control, and yes, I can't see my own damage past all the "disintergration, thiscombo, thatcombo, ____judgement"
@Joshua.
I like this idea; those numbers rarely, if ever, help me -- usually I just tune them out. If I could get rid of them, not only would it clear up my view of the action, it'd be that much less work my video card would have to do and I might not have to turn my graphics settings down to avoid crashing during incarnate trials.
I'd go as far as to say I'd like the option to turn off my own "ION JUDGEMENT JUMP!" text.
FUN FACT: That burst of light when you level up is actually the effectiveness escaping from your enhancements all at once.
I never see grey numbers except during Hamidon Raids and the various Invasions.
Also, depending on which character I'm on, I don't always see all of my damage number on screen anyway. I'm putting out more damage on some characters than the system can show.
That being said, more options is usually a good thing.
If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

My proposition is this;
Add an option that allows the player to manage the floating texts during combat. I feel that the ability to turn off Grey Numbers (Ally Damage) in order to see your own is a viable one. Some people just don't really want to see or even need to see their ally's damage.
More reasons as to why:
-Your damage is often unprocessed in a league battle due to too many Grey Numbers already taking it's place, therefore not allowing a player to see his/her own damage.
-Players shouldn't be forced to have to refer to their damage channel in the chat box just to see their own damage.
-The numbers can really cover up your view quickly, removing one of the greater elements of this game; its graphics and animations.
